What to do and Where to stay in
Nicoya Peninsula
If you are looking for barefoot luxury, this is definitely the right place. Many choose to fly to one of the small airstrips on this remote peninsula and once there, head straight for their hammock or sun bed of choice on one of the coastline’s scenic white beaches.

Experiences in Nicoya Peninsula
Our favourite hotel on this rugged Peninsula is Punta Islita. Whether you are looking for adventure, relaxation or a bit of both this property is hard to beat.
The wonderful 300-acre natural setting offers plenty of opportunities for some family fun. Horse riding on the beach, zip-lining, guided hikes in search of Howler Monkeys and kakaying tours through the mangroves are just some of the experiences on offer here.
From Jul-Nov you can go Sea Turtle watching – an adventure to remember for all ages! This night-time activity takes place on a local beach and thanks to the hotel’s partnership with the Costa Rican Ministry of Environment and conservation NGO’s Punta Islita guests enjoy the opportunity to quietly observe the egg-laying ritual of these endangered turtles.
Islita Town has a vibrant artistic community and is known for its museums and local arts and crafts shops. Why not embrace your inner artist with a cultural experience where you can learn traditional keychain making, candle art or painting?
