What to do and Where to stay in
Red Sea Coast

If you’re seeking tranquillity and peace, head to the Red Sea Coast. Nicknamed the “Red Sea Riviera”, it stretches for 1250km from Suez to the Sudanese border and is dotted with good-value resorts and dive sites. After an adventurous tour of Egypt’s wonders, these beachfront towns and cities provide a relaxing finale to your trip.

Experiences in Red Sea Coast

The Red Sea’s warm, clear waters are home to a rich aquatic ecosystem, with some of the world’s most vibrant and expansive coral reefs. The spectacular array of sea life, with over 1,200 species of exotic fish, makes this stretch of coastline a hotspot for divers of all abilities. If you prefer to stay close to the surface, you can still marvel at the marine life by snorkelling, as many house reefs are just metres from shore.

Sharm El Sheikh has long sandy beaches, fringed by palm trees, with warm waters and year-round sunshine. Hurghada is another beach destination that offers similar charms to Sharm and can be easily combined with Luxor, a four-hour drive away. You’ll find plenty of luxurious hotels and trendy restaurants, as well as a traditional old town (El Dahar), which is known for its excellent coffee and impressive fruit market.
