What to do and Where to stay in
Zanzibar Island & Coast

The islands of Zanzibar and Pemba lie off the East African Coast, a short hop from Tanzania. Known as the spice island of the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar has been influenced by many different cultures over the centuries including Indian, Omani Arab and British.

Experiences in Zanzibar Island & Coast

Whilst Zanzibar is therefore a fascinating destination, it also forms a perfect ending to a Tanzanian or Kenyan safari adventure.

The Northern and Eastern beaches with powder white sand and crystal-clear shallow waters are especially ideal for families. Stone Town is home to winding lanes and Sultans’ Palaces, whilst further afield you can discover spice plantations and some fabulous beaches. There are numerous tours you can join such as a Stone Town Tour or a visit to Prison Island, maybe a visit to the cheeky Colobus Monkeys or a day out on the oceans waves dolphin spotting!

So whether you choose to simply unwind, cocktail in hand, or take in a little bit of Zanzibar’s historic Swahili culture in the ancient capital of the sultans, the choice is yours.
