What to do and Where to stay in
Hawaii

Hawaii is the birth place of surfing and few things beat catching a wave on Waikiki!  However, this beautiful chain of  far-flung islands in the Pacific offer a whole lot more and each member of the archipelago – Oahu, Kauai, Maui (also known as Big Island) Molokai and Lanai – has a unique edge.

Experiences in Hawaii

The islands also have beauty in abundance. The famous ‘Drive to Hana’ on Maui takes in coastal rainforest and waterfalls as you wind your way along the Ocean’s Edge whilst Big Island is home to one of the world’s most active volcanoes (Kilauea). Kauai offers activities such as kayaking down the Wailua River and Mountain tubing in the miles of water flumes originally created to link the waterfalls to the sugar cane fields.

Pearl Harbour on Oahu has the USS Arizona Memorial at its heart, offering a moving tribute to those who still lie in the wreck below. Visitors can also go on board the USS Bowfin Submarine and the Missouri Battleship, a fascinating look back in history.

Intrepid travellers could spend 3 weeks exploring the islands, whilst Hawaii also makes a great extension to a stay in Canada or other North America mainland destinations.
