Experiences in Vancouver

A ‘must-do’ is a cycle around iconic Stanley Park, the city’s much loved urban park. Ride the seawall route for beautiful views of the city and ocean. Or, for those not prone to vertigo, set off for Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. This narrow walkway suspended across the Capilano river offers aerial views of the forest surroundings. Other attractions include the Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure where you will hop from one gigantic fir tree to the next across elevated bridges – not one for the faint hearted!

For a glimpse of the city’s past head to Gastown, the city’s oldest neighbourhood with beautiful old red brick buildings and cobbled streets. Today it’s one of the hippest hangouts with boutiques, galleries and independent eateries. Or, catch the tugboat ferry from Downtown across to Granville Island. This is the city’s cultural hot spot with theatres, craft studios, and the fantastic Public Market which should not be missed and is one of the best places in the city to pick up souvenirs.

For some of the best shopping in the city look no further than Robson Street, a bustling neighbourhood with everything from independent boutiques to international brands. It’s also a great place to dine on a warm summers evening and enjoy a spot of people watching.

Vancouver is a foodie’s delight, with a diverse range of cuisines from Asian to European.
