Dining

In keeping with the extraordinary restaurants in the local district the hotel offers guests its own not-to-be-missed dining choices. The hotel’s Oakridge at Pac Rim which offers delicious food in a unique dining venue of the hotel’s front plaza. Or head over to the Botanist, where head chef Hector Laguna creates regional dishes inspired by sustainably sourced seasonal ingredients.

Sushi lovers will adore the Lobby Lounge and Terrace offering fantastic cocktails, sushi, sashimi and chilled seafood towers from the RawBar with live music every day.

Rooms

There are 377 guestrooms and suites featuring fantastic five star amenities including ridiculously comfortable Stearns and Foster beds, luxury linens, Nespresso coffee machines and spacious spa-like marble bathrooms with ‘in-mirror’ TVs. Rooms also offer a media connectivity panel as well as wall-mounted 42” LCD televisions with surround-sound. Guests are also offered iPads from which they can make spa reservations, order in-room dining and much more. Unusually for Vancouver three quarters of the rooms offer spectacular harbour and mountain views.

Pool View Suites with one bedroom feature private patios with outdoor fireplaces showcasing views of the property’s signature pool terrace alongside a wet bar, second bathroom, king size bed and double sofa-bed.  City View Suites have the same facilities but overlook the dramatic architecture of the city skyline whilst Stanley Park View and Coal Harbour Corner Suites offer the best of both Stanley Park and Coal Harbour.

Family

The hotel offers complimentary amenity kits for babies and toddlers, together with child-sized bathrobes. BMW bikes are available to hire through the concierge.  In the restaurants, children under 5 years eat free from the children’s menu and children aged 6 – 11 years eat for half price from the regular menu.  The hotel’s Lifestyle Cuisine programme has been extended to children’s menus – offering a healthy twist on the usual child-friendly favourites such as chicken strips, pizza, spaghetti with meatballs and even chocolate mousse.

Cribs and connecting rooms are available on request. The hotel can provide childcare during the day or for a special evening out, with pricing and availability via the concierge.

The in-room HDTV offers movies and games.

Sustainability

The Fairmont Pacific Rim is committed to reducing the hotels footprint on the environment, they do this through various initiatives such as:

  • They are a member of Vancouver’s aquarium conservation program known as Ocean Wise, not only is Ocean Wise sustainable seafood used throughout restaurants in the hotel but they are also committed to educating and empowering customers about the importance of responsible fishing.
  • The hotel takes part in the Great Canadian shore clean up, this aims to reduce the amounts of litter and waste on the Vancouver shorelines.
  • Fairmont Pacific Rim is now a partner of Stanley Park, where they run activities to raise awareness of conservation and protection of the local wildlife.
  • The hotel provide bikes to encourage guests to explore beautiful Vancouver in a more sustainable way.
