St Regis Le Morne Resort

Set on a pristine stretch of sand at the foot of the UNESCO‑listed Le Morne Brabant, facing West for stunning sunsets, The St Regis Le Morne Mauritius is a refined resort that blends classic elegance with relaxed island living.

Sweeping views across the Indian Ocean and a sense of seclusion combined with an extensive variety of facilities and spacious suites make this a standout choice for couples and families seeking polished luxury in one of Mauritius’s most dramatic settings.

Facilities & Activities

The resort nestles along a beautiful stretch of beach whilst blending perfectly with the lush and mountainous backdrop.  The calm waters of the lagoon make this an inviting spot for swimming and snorkelling, whilst the steady trade winds create ideal conditions for certain water sports.

The large family-friendly pool is framed by manicured gardens and shaded loungers, whilst a smaller, second pool will be appreciated by those seeking tranquillity with a sea view.  For guests wishing to maintain their fitness routine whilst away, the fully equipped fitness centre offers modern cardio and strength equipment. Personal training sessions can be arranged on request, alongside guided stretching, yoga and beachfront  classes.

A comprehensive range of complimentary non‑motorised water sports is available, including kayaking, paddle‑boarding, snorkelling trips and pedal boats. The lagoon’s clear, shallow waters are ideal for beginners, while more experienced guests can arrange scuba diving excursions and sailing trips for an additional charge. Le Morne is also internationally renowned for kite‑surfing, and conditions here are among the best on the island, with lessons and equipment available nearby.

On land, guests can enjoy tennis courts, cycling and guided nature walks through the surrounding landscape. The concierge can also arrange hiking excursions up Le Morne Brabant, offering rewarding panoramic views, as well as horse riding, quad biking and cultural tours such as coffee and rum tours, not far beyond the resort.  Golfers have access to several championship‑level courses within easy reach, including options designed by leading architects.

Set against the iconic backdrop of Le Morne Brabant, the 2,000 m² Spa by La Prairie offers an intimate sanctuary dedicated to sensory wellbeing, with 12 treatment rooms, two private couples’ suites, a hair and nail salon, men’s grooming area and relaxation terrace. Treatments include the exclusive Mauritian Radiance Experience  — an 80-minute signature treatment inspired by the volcanic origins and natural beauty of Mauritius. Yoga and meditation sessions are also available, either in dedicated pavilions or outdoors with views of Le Morne Brabant, creating a deeply restorative wellness experience.

A novel addition is also a Cinema complete with plush seating and the library area, filled with a selection of books and games for those seeking a quiet corner away from the sun.

Dining

Dining at The St Regis Le Morne Mauritius is a refined yet relaxed affair, with each restaurant offering a distinct atmosphere and culinary focus. Menus draw on international influences while celebrating Mauritian flavours, fresh seafood and high-quality local produce.

Le Manoir is the resort’s main restaurant, housed in an elegant and timeless plantation-style building and the heart of its culinary offering. Open for breakfast and dinner, it serves an extensive breakfast spread alongside refined evening menus featuring international classics with subtle Creole influences.

If your seeking to make the most of your setting, we recommend The Boathouse Grill & Lounge.  Set directly on the beach with uninterrupted ocean views, the restaurant offers laid-back daytime atmosphere that transitions beautifully into the evening. Lunches focus on fresh seafood, grilled specialities and light, flavourful dishes, while evenings bring a more romantic tone with softly lit tables and a menu designed for leisurely beachfront dining.

The Floating Market is inspired by the vibrant street markets of South-East Asia, delivering bold flavours and theatrical presentation in an intimate, contemporary setting. Dishes showcase Thai, Vietnamese and Malaysian influences, making this a popular choice for guests seeking something more adventurous and distinctive during their stay, whilst Indya is a refined fine-dining experience celebrating the rich culinary heritage of the Indian subcontinent.  The resorts dedicated Japanese restaurant, Atsuko, is a calm and intimate space where guests can enjoy authentic cuisine, complete with live teppanyaki station for those seeking to add some drama to their dining!

An institution in its own right, The St Regis Bar provides a sophisticated space for pre-dinner aperitifs or late-evening cocktails. Live piano music sets a relaxed yet elegant tone, while the menu includes classic St Regis signatures alongside creative cocktails inspired by local ingredients.

All accommodation consists of spacious suites, each thoughtfully designed with a contemporary take on classic colonial style. Expect generous living areas, marble bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, and expansive private terraces or balconies overlooking the gardens and ocean. Junior Suites are a spacious 65 metres squared and ideal for couples or small families. They feature an open‑plan layout with a comfortable seating area, king‑size bed and a luxurious marble bathroom with separate bathtub and rain shower. A private balcony or terrace looks out over the lush gardens, providing a serene introduction to the resort.  Enhance your view by upgrading to an Ocean Junior Suite, as the name suggests located closer to the sea with accompanying partial views of the Indian Ocean.  Ocean Haven Junior Suites are just steps from the shoreline whilst The Heritage Beach and Balcony Junior Suites are a little larger at 75 square metres, and offer direct access to the beach and turquoise lagoon.

The Peninsula Balcony and Beach Access Suites are nestled in a serene corner of the resort offering 100 square metres of luxury and comfort with stunning ocean views and prime access to the soft sands. Le Morne Beach Access and Balcony Suites combine even more generous space at 150 square metres from their beachfront location. Guests in both suite types enjoy a separate lounge, large terrace and immediate beach access when downstairs, ideal for relaxed days spent between suite, pool and ocean.  Please note these suites are located a little further from the Manor House and main pool, but the smaller beachfront Garden Pool is located close by.

The Manor House Spa Suites are designed for wellness‑focused stays, featuring a private treatment area within the suite and direct access to spa facilities. Elegant and secluded, they are particularly appealing to couples seeking restorative downtime.

At the pinnacle of the resort’s offering, the multi‑bedroom villas are ideal for families or groups travelling together. Sustainability

At The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, Mauritius, water conservation is a central focus. Flow reducers in taps and showers help lower daily consumption, while a wastewater treatment plant enables treated water to be reused for irrigation. Usage is carefully monitored in high-consumption areas, and guests are encouraged to participate in the “Privilege to Conserve” linen and towel reuse programme.

Energy and carbon reduction initiatives are embedded across the resort. A guest room management system and heat recovery technology improve efficiency, supported by LED lighting, daylight sensors and solar solutions. The in-house bottling plant replaces plastic with glass, single-use amenities have been removed in favour of refillable alternatives, and minibars are entirely plastic-free. Local sourcing continues to grow, alongside the use of sustainable spa products and creative upcycling initiatives.

Waste is managed through a structured reduction roadmap, with comprehensive sorting and recycling programmes in place. Paper, plastics, cooking oil and food waste are responsibly diverted, supported by dedicated take-back schemes for items such as batteries and coffee capsules. A largely paperless guest journey — using QR codes and digital platforms — further reduces impact, with any printed materials produced on FSC-certified paper.

The hotel are Green Key certified and actively collaborate with the Local NGO Anges du Soleil as part of our ongoing engagement to give back to the community.
