Le Touessrok is a long established and famed resort, yet newly refurbished, set in a picturesque location on the East Coast, a stones throw from Isle aux Cerfs and its’ renowned golf course.

Whilst arcs of white sand bless the hotel itself, guest can also take the short boat ride to Ilot Mangenie for a Robinson Crusoe experience, a unique opportunity in Mauritius. Back at the resort, many of the modern and fresh, coastal vibe rooms open out on to the beach or head to the family or Spa pools to relax with a view. Facilities & Activities

If you’re in the mood for more than just relaxing by the pool, a comprehensive range of land sports such as tennis are available alongside activities on the water including windsurfing and kayaking. All are included in your rate, often alongside green fees for the famous golf course on Isle aux Cerfs island, a short boat trip away (please confirm at time of booking).

The Chi Spa offers award-winning treatments such as facials and massages infused with traditional Asian healing therapies. The Spa Pool (no under 16s) is the perfect spot to relax before and after. The fitness centre is also a hub for personal training and yoga sessions.

A highlight for many guests is access to Ilot Mangenie, a little private island across the water, where you can also enjoy a casual lunch!

Nestled at the heart of the resort TSK (Touessrok Soul Kitchen) offers an extensive buffet breakfast alongside international cuisine throughout the day, whilst if ‘toe in sand’ is the dining of your dreams, Coco’s is the place to head for lunch or dinner, where French Riviera elegance meets tropical vibes. It’s also the perfect venue for a beachside cocktail of course!

Once the sun sets, you can also head to Safran, offering traditional South Indian delicacies in an elegant setting, or take a seat at the sushi counter at sophisticated Kushi, where talented chefs will take you on a culinary journey to Japan.

The Sega Bar is often the location for a night-cap whilst listening to live local music to end your perfect day.

Rooms

Contemporary island chic is the style of the bright rooms at the resort, spread out over three distinct wings, all with terraces and balconies to take in the view alongside marble-clad bathrooms with walk in shower and separate tub.

The Coral Wing is located in the main area of the resort. The Coral Ocean View Rooms (55 square metres) are on the first floor whilst the Coral Beachfront are ground-floor, with direct beach access. The wing also houses some larger, two-bedroom suites downstairs.

The Hibiscus Wing is situated on a quite cove area. The Hibiscus Ocean View Rooms (65 square metres) offer impressive sea views from the balcony, whilst the Hibiscus Beachfront rooms on the ground floor have a private terrace, only steps from the soft sands. The Signature Beachfront Suites feature a separate living and dining area and this location is also where you’ll find the Shangri-La Two Bedroom Beach Suite with oversize terrace.

The Frangipani Wing rooms are adults-only, located on the private ‘islet’. Frangipani Ocean View Rooms (70 square metres) have a private terrace whilst the Frangipani Ocean View Junior Suites offer a private balcony with separate sitting room and the Beachfront option is downstairs, opening on to the soft sands. The Frangipani Signature Ocean View Suites have distinct living and dining areas and two private balconies to make the best use of the stunning azure views.

Finally the Shangri-La Three-Bedroom Beach Villas offer the ultimate luxury and privacy with private garden and infinity pool and come with butler service and private chef to attend to every need!

Family

T-Club offers complimentary fun for children ages 4 – 11 from 09:00 – 22:00. Activities include games, arts and crafts and the team also set out to explore further afield with the children such as glass-bottom boat trips. Babysitters can also be booked for a fee. The Teen’s Club also offer a social environment with sports and themed evenings for older children.

All the restaurants also offer a simple children’s menu although some have age limits (16 at Kushi).

An extra bed can be placed in most of the spacious rooms whilst connecting suites can also be booked alongside multi room options. We recommend the Hibiscus wing, with it’s easy access to the soft sands and calm water for paddling.

Sustainability

The hotel focuses on sustainability via environmental conservation, community support and operational efficiency.

The resort participates in local initiatives like mangrove planting and protecting endangered species, and also implements on-site practices such as using a borehole for water, recovering wastewater, and feeding leftover food to turtles. They also work with the “Care for People Project,” supporting local charities focused on children’s health and education.

Location

Nestled in a stunning location on the East of the island, small boats whisk you to neighbouring islands. Expect a journey time of approximately 45 – 60 minutes from the airport.
