South West Thailand
Rayavadee Krabi

If we had to pick our favourite hotel in Thailand this would definitely be near the top of our list!  You would be hard pressed to find more jaw droppingly beautiful surroundings, the Rayavadee has bagged the prime position on the stunning Phranang Peninsular on the edge of Krabi Marine National Park.

Individual Thai Style Pavilions are scattered amongst the tropical gardens with a backdrop of sheer limestone cliffs and jungle and just a short stroll from the stunning freeform infinity pool, with views out to the horizon over the crystal clear Andaman Sea.

Facilities & Activities

Everyone will enjoy the glorious freeform infinity swimming pool flanked by the limestone cliffs and with views of the Andaman Sea. The water sports centre with its friendly staff will equip you for kayaking or sailing from the beach. There is also a fully equipped gym and heavenly Spa.

However the local area is a paradise if you’re feeling active, the hotel offers a myriad of sea and land activities, from snorkelling trips to the nearby uninhabited islands or hop on one of the hotel’s luxurious speedboats and visit nearby Phi Phi Island, a world renowned destination with emerald green waters, white sand beaches and hidden caves. For the romantics, head off to deserted beach with a bottle of bubbly and relax…   On Land, visit nature reserves, enjoy a jungle adventure, elephant trekking and try your hand at river kayaking. Adrenaline junkies will enjoy rock climbing (Krabi is a world famous rock climbing destination) and white water rafting through the jungle.

Please do note that beaches are not private in Thailand, and so day visitors can add numbers to the beach areas in the middle of the day.

Family

Rayavadee is a lovely family location, kids and adults alike can’t fail to be thrilled by the jungly setting only moments from such a beautiful beach.

Rayavadee’s complimentary ‘Just for Kids’ programme for children age 4 – 12 years (younger children are welcome to join in with a parent) includes tennis lessons, cooking, arts and crafts and discovery walks.  Children’s meals and babysitting are also available.

Nestled amongst the coconut palms, Deluxe Pavilions can accommodate one additional child on a day bed on the ground floor of the Pavilion (possibly two little ones but do note Mum and Dad would be upstairs!).  The Family Pavilions have all of the same luxurious features and comforts as the Deluxe Pavilions, but offer an additional ground floor bedroom with two queen size beds and ensuite bathroom as well as an outdoor dining area and a terrace for private barbecues.  Some also boast a freshwater, private pool as the focus for your tropical garden!

Sustainability

Rayavadee’s underlying philosophy has always been to co-exist in harmony with the uniquely beautiful natural environment of their home, the Phranang Peninsula, a fragile place with a rich and unique landscape of mountains, jungle and sea replete with rich flora and fauna.

Rayavadee works as a proactive member of the community to support initiatives that raise awareness of sustainable tourism practices and the importance of protecting the environment. They regularly help to organise beach cleanings, marine life releases, and mangrove planting events, all of which foster understanding between community members, local businesses and visitors.

Location

Situated on a headland accessible only by Sea, guests arrive at the resort after an exhilarating speed boat ride from Krabi Pier. The resort is an easy trip from either Krabi Airport or Phuket (which in turn can be accessed via Bangkok or a Middle Eastern Hub). With beaches on 3 sides, the resort has more than its fair share of glorious sand to choose from.
