Fancourt offers two distinct accommodation experiences: the main Fancourt Hotel and the Manor House at Fancourt. The Manor House at Fancourt is an award-winning, adults-only boutique hotel set in the original homestead, offering a more intimate and exclusive escape.

Facilities and activities are where Fancourt truly distinguishes itself.

Golf sits at the heart of the resort, with three championship courses on site, including The Links, consistently ranked among the finest in the world, alongside Montagu and Outeniqua, each offering its own character and challenge. New for 2026 is The Ridge, a newly developed 9-hole golf course designed to complement The Links along with offering dining and additional facilities including bowls.

Beyond golf, the estate encourages a wonderfully balanced stay, with cycling routes weaving through the grounds, tennis and two brand new padel courts, and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The Leisure Centre includes a well-equipped gym, popular Kidz Club, teen lounge and cinema, while The Spa offers a more tranquil counterpoint, with calming interiors, a wide-ranging treatment menu and peaceful relaxation areas designed for lingering.

Dining at Fancourt is varied and thoughtfully curated, catering to both international tastes and local influences.

Henry White’s delivers a more refined, evening-focused experience, ideal for guests who enjoy attentive service, beautifully presented dishes and an impressive wine list. La Cantina offers a relaxed alternative, serving comforting, Italian-inspired cuisine in an informal setting that works equally well for families and couples. Monet’s is a casual, cafe style French bistro, within a relaxing setting, perfect for lunch or afternoon tea. Shinju, named after the Japanese word for “pearl,” is a Japanese-inspired restaurant that pays homage to Japanese cuisine while introducing a fresh and exciting addition to the Fancourt offering. Overlooking the Montagu course, The Club Lounge is a favourite for leisurely lunches or post-round drinks, where views across immaculate fairways set the tone for long, unhurried afternoons. Across the resort, dining feels polished yet approachable, with quality and consistency at the forefront. Named after the infamous mushroom linked to the estate’s past, Amanita is Fancourt’s newest restaurant, combining a modern setting with a nod to history.

Fancourt is exceptionally well suited to family stays, combining the space and facilities of a country estate with genuinely thoughtful touches for travelling with children. The resort’s dedicated Kidz Club, catering for children roughly aged 3 to 12 years, offers a supervised programme of arts and crafts, outdoor games, themed activities and gentle sports, with an emphasis on creativity and active play rather than screen time.

Several of the resort’s restaurants offer children’s menus, featuring familiar, well-balanced dishes designed to appeal to younger palates without feeling like an afterthought. Classic Rooms and Luxury Rooms can accommodate children using extra beds or cots, while interleading room options provide added space and privacy for families with older children. Location

Fancourt is ideally positioned just outside George, offering a peaceful, countryside setting with easy access to the Garden Route’s beaches, forests and scenic coastal drives. George Airport is approximately 15 minutes away, making arrival and departure straightforward. While the location lends itself well to exploration, many guests find that the breadth of facilities on site means there’s little reason to leave, with everything needed for a rewarding stay contained within the estate.
