Why not add a few nights at in Zambia and see the Victoria Falls – this can be done at either the start or end of your Botswana adventure!
Best Time to Travel
Botswana has 3 main seasons – Green Season from November – April, Shoulder Season from May – July and Peak Season August – October. The best time to visit Botswana is during the dry season between May and October.
The best time to visit Zambia is during the dry season between June and November. The best time to visit the spectacular Victoria Falls is from February to May.
Tips for Families
This itinerary is better suited for those 12 years and upwards as all regions are malarial and majority of lodges will request you to pay for a private vehicle if you have children under a certain age. Game walks also have an age limit usually of 16 years.

Itinerary
Day 1 | Fly Overnight to Johannesburg
Depart Heathrow Airport for an overnight flights of approx 10.5 hours to Johannesburg.
Day 2 | Connect with your flight to Kasane. Transfer to your lodge.
Morning arrival into Johannesburg Airport, where you will stay in transit at and connect with your onward flight to Kasane Airport.
On arrival in Kasane Airport, you will be, and connect onto your flight to Savute Safari Lodge for the next 3 nights.
Day 3 - 4 | Enjoy exploring the Savute Region
You can enjoy game drives around the Savute marsh in search of plains game, buffalo, lion and elephant, as well as large flocks of birds that congregate around the marsh waters.
Day 5 | Fly from Savute onto the Okavango Delta
Depart on your light aircraft to the Okavango Delta, arriving at Camp Okavango.
Day 6-7 | Explore the waterways by Mokoro and enjoy Walking Safari's
Explore the Okavango Delta region by mokoro or on foot.
Being on the water gives you a contrasting experience where the focus is water based animals such as hippo and crocodile and an twitches paradise with the call of the African Fish Eagle!
Day 8 | Light Aircraft to Maun Airport to connect home to the UK
After breakfast – transfer by safari vehicle to the air strip for your light aircraft flight to Maun Airport.
On arrival into Maun, you will connect with your flight back to Johannesburg Airport in time to connect with your onward international flight home to the UK.
