This itinerary gives you a good dose of wildlife whilst on safari in a private reserve near Kruger as well as a contrasting safari experience whilst in the Okavango Delta. Sandwiched between the two – Victoria Falls and the mighty Zambezi!

3 nights Big 5 Safari in a private reserve near Kruger, 3 nights Victoria Falls (Zambia) and 3 nights Okavango Delta Safari £7,300 per adult and £5,500 per child under 12 sharing including flights, transfers and accommodation on an All Inclusive basis.

Why not add a few nights in Cape Town at the start to see the Table Mountain, Robben Island and the penguins. There are direct flights from Cape Town to Kruger Airport and if you are craving more safari you could consider adding an additional stop in Botswana such as Chobe, Savute or Moremi Game Reserves.
Best Time to Travel
Kruger is a year round destinations, however the winter months (May – October) are best as not as hot, the bush is thinner and it is easier to see the wildlife. The best time to visit the spectacular Victoria Falls falls at the same time, when the spray isn’t too strong and it’s safe to take part in river activities. The best time to visit Botswana is also during the dry season between June – September when the Delta floods and it should be dry.
Tips for Families
This itinerary is better suited for those 12 years and upwards as all regions are malarial. Some lodges in Botswana will request you to pay for a private vehicle if you have children under a certain age. Game walks also have an age limit usually of 16 years. Most lodges have a minimum age of 6 years in Kruger and Botswana.

Itinerary
Day 1 | Fly Overnight to Johannesburg Airport connecting onto Kruger Airport
Depart Heathrow Airport for an overnight flights of approx 10.5 hours to Johannesburg.
Day 2 | Connect with your flight to Kruger Airport. Road transfer to your lodge.
Morning arrival into Johannesburg Airport, where you will clear customs and check in for your midday flight to Kruger Airport, a flight time of approx 2 hours.
On arrival into Kruger, road transfer to your chosen lodge, which generally takes 2-3 hours. Alternatively some Lodges have air strips you can fly directly into.
Day 3-4 | Enjoy spotting the Big 5 and other wildlife
Spend the next 2 days enjoying morning and afternoon game drives, as you transverse around the reserve spotting the Big 5 and animals such as kudu, zebra, warthog and giraffe.
Day 5 | Transfer back to Kruger Airport for your flight to Livingstone Airport
Early start today – where you will be collected from you lodge and transferred by road back to Kruger Airport in time for your midday flight to Livingstone Airport. On arrival into Livingstone, clear customs. You will then be met in the arrivals hall and transferred by road to your Livingstone Hotel / Lodge. It should be a short transfer of 20 – 40 minutes.
Please note you may have to miss your last morning game drive at your Kruger Lodge due to flight and transfer times.
Day 6-7 | Take part in all the adventure Victoria Falls has to offer
Spend the next 2 days enjoying the various activities in and around Victoria Falls / Livingstone. Boat cruises, bird watching, fishing or a cultural visit to a local school. The is the option to also cross into Zimbabwe and view the falls from this side.
Day 8 | Light Aircraft flight from Chobe to the Okavango Delta
After breakfast, you will be collected from your lodge and transferred across the Botswana Border and to Kasane Airport. Clear customs into Botswana. (approx 3 hours door to door pending the border.)
From here you board your light aircraft flight of approximately 50 minutes to the Okavango Delta. On arrival you will be met by a safari vehicle for the short game-drive transfer to your lodge.
Day 9-10 | Explore the waterways of the Okavango Delta
Spend the next 2 day exploring the waterways of the Okavango Delta by Mokoro or Motor Boat. Being on the water allows you to see smaller species such as the painted reed frog, or the African Jacana. Larger animals can be seen on a day trip to Chiefs Island, where a game walk gives you a different perspective and allows you to focus on tracks as well as birding.
Day 11 | Light Aircraft to Maun Airport to connect home to the UK
After breakfast – transfer by safari vehicle to the air strip for your light aircraft flight to Maun Airport, a short flight of approx 20 minutes.
On arrival into Maun, you will connect with your flight back to Johannesburg Airport, approx 1.5 hours, in time to connect with your onward international flight home.
