Our summer is the ideal time to experience Australia’s Tropical North and the deserts of the Red Centre. This itinerary includes some of the country’s natural wonders; see the iconic Uluru (Ayers Rock), meet the indigenous wildlife in Kakadu National Park, explore Daintree – the oldest rainforest in the world and snorkel the Great Barrier Reef.
Opt for a stop-over in Asia en-route and perhaps North America on your return to create your own exciting Round-The-World trip!

Suggested Extensions
If wildlife is your focus, why arrive via the direct flight to Perth and make a stop at Ningaloo Reef to snorkel with whale sharks July to August.
Best Time to Travel
This itinerary is best enjoyed from April-September when it’s winter in Australia so the north experiences more pleasant temperatures. The conditions are also best for snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef and whale watching. However, it will be cooler in the south so you should expect a more temperate climate in Sydney.
Tips for Families
We suggest families break the long journey to Australia with a stopover. Singapore is a great option with plenty of family-friendly attractions from theme parks to zoos with the opportunity to immerse yourself in a completely different culture, or fly with Qantas directly to Perth and stop over in WA!

Itinerary
DAY 1 | FLY TO SYDNEY
Fly from London to Sydney, with a touchdown in Singapore (approx. 22 hours) and transfer to your chosen hotel for 3 nights. Or opt to break the journey with an exciting city stopover!
DAYS 2-3 | SYDNEY
2 full days to enjoy Australia’s most iconic city. Wander round Circular Quay and soak up the views of the famous Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Perhaps catch a ferry to Manly Beach, take a whale watching cruise or head out of city and explore the Blue Mountains on a 4WD wildlife safari.
DAYS 4-5 | AYERS ROCK / ULURU
Fly to Ayers Rock (approx. 3.5 hours) and transfer to your hotel. Uluru is one of the greatest natural wonders of the world and a sacred place in Aboriginal culture. Enjoy visiting at sunrise and sunset when the rock is at its most spectacular, hike around the soaring rock domes of Kata Tjuta or take a camel tour through the red sand desert.
DAY 6 | DARWIN
Catch a flight to Darwin (approx. 2 hours), Australia’s northern-most city and the gateway to two spectacular national parks; Litchfield and Kakadu. Enjoy a 1-night rest stop in this laidback tropical city.
DAYS 7-9 | KAKADU NATIONAL PARK
Set of for 3 days to explore Kakadu NP, famous for its beautiful waterfalls and waterholes, Aboriginal rock art and scenic wetlands. The Yellow Water Billabong is home to a diverse range of wildlife, take a cruise and keep your eyes peeled for the crocs hiding amongst the lotus leaves!
DAYS 10-13 | PORT DOUGLAS
Fly to from Darwin to Cairns (approx. 2.5 hours). Pick up your hire car and head north to Port Douglas (approx. 1 hour). This relaxed and friendly town offers unforgettable experiences – snorkel the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, take a day trip to Daintree for nature walks and zipline tours or end your holiday with a few days relaxing on Four Mile Beach.
DAY 14 | FLY BACK TO LONDON
Drive back to Cairns and catch a flight to Sydney to connect with your international flight home via Asia, North America or the Middle East.
