Masai Mara
Instinct of the Mara

Situated on the south-eastern boundary of the Masai Mara, within the 7,600 acre Olderkesi Conservancy, Instinct of the Mara offers a unique and extremely memorable safari experience.

Days at Instinct of the Mara revolve around unforgettable wildlife encounters, immersive safari adventures, and the breath-taking beauty of the African wilderness.

Facilities & Activities

Exclusive use of a safari vehicle allows you to plan each day alongside your expert guide. You may choose to head out before breakfast, crossing the sweeping plains and Sand River in search of the Mara’s most iconic wildlife, or enjoy a slower start with breakfast in camp before setting off on a guided walking safari. These walks focus on the finer details of the ecosystem — from animal tracks and native plants to the smaller wonders often missed on a game drive. Perhaps cool off with a swim beneath a nearby waterfall before heading out again for an afternoon drive, ending with sundowners around the fire and a thrilling night drive back to camp.

The camp itself features a comfortable lounge and dining area, with plenty of peaceful spots to unwind with a book. From camp, you can also spot herds of antelope or warthog that come up to the main mess tent to graze quietly on the lawns nearby.

There is also a small boutique showcasing beadwork and crafts created by members of the surrounding community.
