Located just next to the swimming pool, the open-air restaurant, Ehala serves lavish buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It features an eclectic mix of international cuisine with made-to-order stations and an area entirely devoted to exquisite desserts. Lotus Restaurant, open for dinner, offers ‘Organic fine dining’ with fresh produce coming from its very own farm. Verandah is the sports bar and the perfect spot for a light snack or a coffee and a decadent dessert. With a wide selection of international spirits and bartenders who can mix a cocktail for any mood or occasion, Tuskers is a great place to start the fun or finish the day.


Cinnamon Lodge has a variety of categories across its 130 rooms and suites, all of which offer spacious comfortable sleeping and living space with an in-room safe, balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens or the lake, air-conditioning, mini-bar.

The Superior and Deluxe Rooms have a balcony or terrace and over-look the gardens and lush vegetation. Deluxe Rooms are slightly larger with a small sitting area.

There is also a choice of spacious Suites which open out to the beautiful views of the gardens and Habarana Lake.

Whilst the hotel does not offer any facilities or services specifically for younger guests, families with children of all ages are welcomed. The expansive pool and charming grounds will certainly be popular with little travellers after a morning climbing the rock at Sigiriya!

The Deluxe Suites are perfect for families. These self-contained units which take up the ground and first floor levels of a chalet, have an exquisite master bedroom upstairs and a second bedroom downstairs, as well as a lounge and dining area. The bathroom adjoining the master bedroom features a Jacuzzi, separate shower area, double sinks, and spacious dressing and storage areas for that extra touch of comfort. A private Butler service is available, around the clock, and in-room spa treatments and in-villa dining can be arranged on request.


Cinnamon Lodge have adopted sustainable practices and engaged in projects to help the community they operate in. To reduce emissions they have installed bio-gas digesters, food waste is used to generate bio-gas which is then used in the staff kitchens. They have also installed solar heaters to heat water in the guest rooms and an in-house paper recycling plant that utilises wastepaper generated from hotel operations and elephant dung to produce recycled paper. This project is now moving into its second phase with increased participation from women in the local community. The ‘Cinnamon Elephant Project’ is a collaborative effort between Cinnamon Hotels and the Centre for Conservation and Research, a ground-breaking initiative to develop best practices in elephant
