Meliá Paradisus Bali, Nusa Dua
Set within the gated enclave of Nusa Dua, Meliá Paradisus Bali reimagines one of the island’s most established beachfront resorts into a contemporary sanctuary rooted in nature, wellbeing and understated luxury.
Tropical gardens, lagoons and lily ponds weave through the property, creating a calm, almost village-like feel, while direct access to a wide stretch of golden sand keeps the focus firmly on the sea. A defining feature of the resort is its thoughtful zoning, with the experience subtly divided between The Reserve (age 16+ only) and Family Concierge (family-focused premium service), allowing guests to tailor their stay to either a more serene, adults-only atmosphere or a highly curated family escape.

Dining
Dining at Meliá Paradisus Bali is a genuinely international journey, with eight distinct venues designed to move effortlessly from relaxed beachfront lunches to immersive evening dining experiences. The main hub of the resort’s culinary offering is Malva, an all-day restaurant set among tropical gardens, where generous breakfasts and varied dinner menus blend international favourites with Asian influences in an easy, open-air setting.
Kanna Beach Restaurant sits directly on the sand and captures a more barefoot, coastal feel, with a menu inspired by South American flavours — think fresh ceviche, grilled seafood and bold, vibrant dishes served just steps from the ocean. Moving inland, Arum brings a stronger sense of Balinese and wider Asian identity, often paired with cultural elements that make dinner feel more atmospheric and rooted in place. Elsewhere, Peseta introduces a lively Spanish-inspired concept centred around sharing plates, tapas and paella, creating a sociable, slightly more energetic evening venue, while Samira Middle Eastern Restaurant offers a warmer, spiced contrast with mezze-style dining, grilled specialities and dishes designed to be shared over long, relaxed evenings. For those craving something more refined and precise, Tokimeku delivers a contemporary take on Japanese cuisine, with sushi, sashimi and robatayaki served in a stylish, interactive setting.
The resort also caters thoughtfully to different guest experiences, with Sante reserved exclusively for guests staying in The Reserve, offering a more intimate, adults-only dining atmosphere. For something lighter and more informal, The Shack provides a relaxed poolside option, serving casual bites and comfort-style dishes throughout the day, perfect for long, easy afternoons between swims or time on the beach.
In terms of spots for a coffee, or pre-dinner cocktail, guests are well catered for whether around the pools and gardens, or by the sea. Kopi Pateni offering coffees crafted from local beans, whilst The Ginger and The Mixton bars offer an extensive selection of drinks including beers, premium spirits and fresh juices.
Guests can stay on a variety of Board Basis from Bed & Breakfast to All Inclusive.
Rooms
Rooms and suites are arranged in low-rise buildings set among the gardens, offering a sense of space and privacy. Interiors blend contemporary design with Balinese influences, featuring warm woods and calming neutral tones.
At entry level, Premium Garden View Rooms offer generous space with private balconies or terraces overlooking the lush tropical grounds, whilst Junior Suites introduce more spacious layouts with defined lounge areas, some providing direct entry into the resort’s signature pool network, ideal for those wanting a more immersive indoor-outdoor stay. Duplex Suites radiate Balinese elegance across two levels with a ground-floor living room,
Within the adults-only enclave, The Reserve Rooms and Suites include the above categories alongside The Reserve Master Suite with or without pool access, Presidential Suite and the expansive one and two bedroom Garden Villas. These deliver a more elevated experience, with upgraded amenities, refined design, and access to exclusive adults-only pools, private lounge areas and personalised service. The atmosphere here is notably calmer and more sophisticated.
Family
Meliá Paradisus Bali is particularly strong for families, with the Family Concierge concept adding a premium, highly personalised layer to the stay. Whilst not being a separate area like The Reserve, these room categories are thoughtfully designed for families with fun touches, flexible bedding configurations and connecting rooms whilst a dedicated concierge is available to support families with aspects such as dining reservations and tailored experiences designed around each family’s needs.
The entry-level option is typically the Family Concierge Connecting Junior Suites offer a generous open-plan layout which usually combine a king bed with additional sleeping arrangements such as a bunk bed area, alongside a comfortable seating area and a private balcony or terrace. These can also have access to the resort pools. These are best suited to those with older children or where supervision is carefully managed. The Family Concierge Duplex Suites are essentially two-level residences designed to give families far more space and separation than a standard suite with a playful, themed children’s bedroom downstairs. Alternatively, families with older children requiring proper beds and non-themed bedrooms, but seeking to keep them close by, connecting standard suites can be reserved.
The kids club provides a supervised programme for children aged approximately 4–12, with a mix of creative activities, cultural experiences and outdoor play, whilst the Water Theme Park includes thrilling water slides! There is also a space for teens offering a variety of leisure activities where they can socialise with others.
Dining is also well considered, with child-friendly menus available across the resort and the flexibility to tailor mealtimes, ensuring the experience feels seamless rather than structured.
Sustainability
Sustainability is an important part of the resort’s ethos, with initiatives focused on reducing environmental impact and supporting the local community. Efforts include minimising single-use plastics, improving energy and water efficiency, and sourcing produce locally where possible. Cultural sustainability is also key, with experiences designed to celebrate and preserve Balinese traditions.
Location
Located in Nusa Dua, only a 30-minute drive from the airport, the resort enjoys one of Bali’s most polished beachfront settings, known for its calm waters and well-maintained surroundings. This makes it particularly appealing for couples seeking adults-only accommodation alongside families and those seeking a more relaxed and convenient base.
