Laba Laba Migration Camp
Laba Laba Migration Camp is a mobile luxury safari camp in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. Rather than staying in one fixed location, it moves to different parts of the Serengeti, following the path of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.
The camp rotates between three key areas: Southern Serengeti (Ndutu area) – December to March, near the calving grounds where thousands of wildebeest give birth. Western Serengeti (Grumeti / Mosabi plains) – May to June, a transitional area with large herds gathering and Northern Serengeti (Kogatende area) – July to November, famous for the Mara River crossings during the migration.

Dining
Meals are freshly prepared by camp chefs, with a focus on simple, high-quality dishes—think grilled meats, fresh salads, hearty mains, and light, flavourful starters that suit life in the bush.
Breakfast is flexible, ranging from continental spreads to hot options like eggs or pancakes, and can also be packed as a bush breakfast if you’re heading out early on game drive. Lunch is usually lighter, either served in camp or taken as a picnic in the field. In the evening, guests gather for sundowners before a multi-course dinner, often served under canvas or open skies. The menu changes daily but keeps things comforting and well-balanced, ending with a dessert that leans indulgent without being fussy.
What really stands out is the setting—meals are planned around safari schedules, drinks are readily available, and dinner is often enjoyed with the natural sounds of the Serengeti in the background.
Rooms
The 8 Luxury Tents are spacious, comfortable, and designed to feel close to nature without giving up the essentials. Each tent is more like a private safari suite, with proper beds, quality linens, and en-suite bathrooms that include hot showers. The interiors are simple but stylish, with natural materials, soft lighting, and large openings that let you feel connected to the surrounding plains.
Depending on the setup, you’ll also find private verandas or seating areas outside the tents, perfect for sitting quietly and watching wildlife pass by in the distance. The camp itself is small and thoughtfully spaced out, so it never feels crowded, and there’s a good balance of privacy and openness.
It’s not about over-the-top luxury—it’s about being comfortable in a remote setting, with everything you need well taken care of while still feeling like you’re genuinely out in the Serengeti.

Family
Families staying at Laba Laba Migration Camp can enjoy a comfortable and immersive safari experience designed with both privacy and togetherness in mind.
The camp features two spacious family tents, each made up of two interconnected bedrooms linked by a covered corridor, making them ideal for parents travelling with children or multi-generational groups. These family accommodations offer en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds, lounge areas, and private verandas overlooking the Serengeti plains, while still maintaining the authentic atmosphere of a luxury mobile safari camp.
Beyond the tents, families can relax together in the camp’s lounge, library, dining tent, and campfire area, with guided game drives and seasonal walking safaris providing unforgettable wildlife experiences close to the Great Migration.
Sustainability
For Laba Laba, responsibility means commitment. That’s why 30% of profits are dedicated to conservation and humanitarian programmes in Tanzania — protecting wildlife and fragile ecosystems while empowering local communities.
Location
Access to the camp is primarily by light aircraft from Arusha to the nearest regional airstrips, followed by a short game-drive transfer to camp. Depending on the season, guests typically fly into Ndutu, Grumeti/Kirawira, or Kogatende airstrips. Flights from Arusha usually take between one and two hours, making fly-in safaris the most convenient option, although longer road transfers through the Serengeti can also be arranged.
