The hotel boasts a number of dining experiences which are both visually and culinarily impressive.

Gingko has a modern and bright ambience making full use of its larger terrace overlooking the Nile, it serves a carefully crafted Asian al a Carte menu.

Bab El Nil has a loud, striking and vibrant atmosphere, expect lavish purple furniture, live singers and even belly dancers, it stretches both indoors and outdoors, again with that signature view over the Nile.  It features a Middle Eastern inspired al a carte menu with an assortment of grills, mezzes and tajines.

Saigon is the hotels fine dining option, serving pan-Asian cuisine with an interesting twist, with elegant and modern decor whilst L’Uliveto serves a breakfast buffet in the morning before transforming into a cozy yet stylish Italian for lunch and dinner.

Onyx lounge in the hotel lobby is a comfortable spot for a drink, light snack or a wide selection of different teas and coffees. There is also a Champagne bar, the first of its kind in downtown Cairo, so you can celebrate your arrival in style!



There are a total of 542 beautifully designed rooms and suites, all of which provide at least 38 square metres of luxurious space.

The Deluxe Rooms sleep 2 and has either a king or 2 double beds, with a partial Nile view. Deluxe Premier Rooms have added amenities such as an open concept bathroom.  Nile facing rooms, available in both Deluxe and Premier levels, boast the added addition of panoramic views of the famous river and an updated interior.

The Deluxe Nile Suite has a magnificent 102 square metres of floor space, with a bedroom, living room, dining area and kitchenette, all with the signature views of the Nile, but with one king sized bed, it’s a special place for two!

The famed Fairmont Gold rooms, devised to be ‘a hotel within a hotel’, bring together elegant design with personalized service, with added touches such as a 24-hour butler and access to the Gold Lounge. These rooms feature the same bedding and views as above.

Last but not least is the Signature Room, with 56 square metres of floor space and have the added bonus of a private terrace from which to enjoy those breath-taking views.


Children of all ages are welcome at Nile City, with family rooms available with 2x double beds and extra beds also available upon request for a fee.


In accordance with Fairmont’s Green Programme the hotel has made efforts to introduce light sensors, energy efficient lighting and custom programs to deactivate heating, ventilation and air conditioning when rooms are not occupied in order to reduce energy consumption.


The hotel is situated on the banks of the Nile in downtown Cairo, its located approximately a 30-minute drive from Cairo International Airport, traffic dependent!
