The enchanting desert backdrop combined with authentic Arabian architecture make this family-friendly resort a unique destination only a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of Dubai.

Whether you simply want to unwind in the tranquil surroundings or are seeking a more energetic break there is plenty to keep the family entertained with an array of activities from desert safaris and horse riding to fat bike trails and falconry. Not forgetting the chance to spot some of the unique desert wildlife including gazelles and geckos. Located just outside the city we recommend combining a couple of nights here with a Dubai city or beach break.

Facilities & Activities

Designed to be functional yet contemporary, there’s a swimming pool for everyone! Take a dip in the plunge pool, admire the desert views from the infinity pool or get a full-body workout thanks to the dedicated lap lanes. Little ones can also enjoy the kids’ pool or make a splash under the rain shower, the best spot for cooling off on a hot day.

The hotel offers guests complimentary camel rides at sunset alongside a falconry experience,  gifting guests a short taste of the Arabian experience. For longer rides, guests can book onto a camel safari for a supplement. Other desert activities include jeep drives across the dunes, horse riding, falconry, archery and fat bike riding. Guests can also join a nature trail to admire the unspoiled surroundings and spot desert wildlife such as gazelles and Arabian Oryx.

The hotel has 3 restaurants to choose from, each with its own unique style, offering a range of different cuisines, including Indian, Italian and International.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all on offer at Zala, where Turkish and Greek flavours blend in a medley of Mediterranean dishes.   If you fancy a sip whilst you swim, alfresco drinks and delicious bites can be enjoyed at the Pool Bar.  The Lobby Lounge is also a great spot for a speciality drink after a day of adventure, which can also be enjoyed outside on the charming terrace.

After dark,  the options extend further!  We love Anwa, the rooftop lounge, with captivating views across the desert – here you can enjoy a cocktail and sample pan-asian bites.  Dinner at the outdoor Middle Eastern restaurant, Al Hadheerah is also quite an experience.  Alongside live cooking stations you’ll be entertained with theatrical extravaganzas of belly dancers and falconry as you eat. Finally Ya Hala, with the atmosphere of an old-world club, is an additional possibility for a nightcap.

The 115 rooms and suites are tastefully styled, with views of the surrounding sands and rustic, Arabic touches such as lamps, rugs and carved wood furnishings.

Superior Rooms are situated on the upper floor of the resort, they offer a choice between desert or courtyard views. Terrace Rooms are larger with a view of the desert, pool or expansive Palm Grove area. Junior Suites and Deluxe Suites are larger still, with walk-in dressing rooms, rainfall showers and private terraces.
