3 nights in the Riviera Maya, Cancun, followed by 3 nights Cayo District and 4 nights in the Cays costs £3,750 per adult and £950 per child under 12 sharing including flights, accommodation with breakfast (full board in the jungle) and transfers.

Suggested Extensions

BA have flights to Belize via Miami so you could opt to combine a few nights soaking up the glitz and glamour of Miami’s South Beach with the natural splendour of Belize for a very different and contrasting itinerary.

Best Time to Travel

The best time to enjoy this itinerary is from December to April, during the dry season and an ideal time for snorkelling in the Belize Barrier Reef.  However July is also worth considering as long as you stay at a resort which removes the sargassum seaweed in Mexico.

There’s more to Mexico’s Riviera Maya than the beach! This region also boasts some fantastic eco-adventure parks which offer you the chance to enjoy Mexico’s wonderful natural attractions in a fun family-friendly setting.

Itinerary

DAY 1 | FLY TO CANCUN, MEXICO

Take your overnight flight to Cancun (approx. 9 hours) and transfer to your hotel located on Mexico’s beautiful Riviera Maya (approx. 35 mins)

DAYS 2-4 | Riviera Maya

Whilst the Riviera Maya is perhaps best known for its beaches and turquoise waters, why not also enjoy some family fun at the wonderful eco adventure parks and you could also choose to visit the magnificent Chichen Itza archaeological site, although Tulum if closer.

DAY 5 | FLY TO BELIZE CITY

Transfer back to Cancun and catch a flight to Belize City followed by a 2-hour transfer to your wonderful jungle lodge nestled in the Cayo District.

DAYS 6-7 | CAYO DISTRICT

You’ll have 2 full days to explore this lush jungle setting peppered with rivers, waterfalls and ancient Mayan Ruins. Adventure-seekers can enjoy caving, river-tubing, horse riding and zip-lining while wildlife lovers will be impressed by the incredible birds and wildlife – keep your eyes peeled for Belize’s national bird, the Keel-billed toucan!

DAYS 8-11 | AMBERGRIS CAYE

Transfer back to Belize City and take a short light aircraft flight (approx. 15 mins) to Ambergris Caye, the largest of the islands. Time for some well-deserved R&R on the palmed-fringed beaches or take to the water and enjoy kayaking, sailing and kite surfing. The snorkelling is not to be missed – Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley are two of the best spots for viewing the impressive marine life and colourful coral reef.

DAY 12 | FLY BACK TO THE UK

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to London, typically via the USA (or you can return to Cancun).
