Asian Adventure, Travel with Teens

For a beach stay with a little Asian spice, combine a stay on the Malaysian island of Langkawi with a visit to Singapore- a true feast for the senses. With fascinating sights and sounds, tempting aromas, plenty of culture and legendary theme parks there really is something for everyone. In Langkawi, time by the pool in tropical surroundings is surely on the cards but your teens will also love exploring the stunning geopark - home to incredible limestone formations, eagles and monkeys.

Upon arrival in Singapore, following your overnight flight from the UK, head straight to the holiday isle of Sentosa for a few days. Attractions here include Universal Studios and Adventure Cove- one of the best water parks we have ever seen (you can even snorkel in a tropical fish tank!). Spend at least a day on the mainland too, exploring the excellent zoos, visiting Gardens on the Bay-famed for their super trees, and even squeezing in some retail therapy on the famous Orchard Road.

Time for the beach! Take your short flight to the Malaysian island of Langkawi- one of our favourite Asian destinations. With a wide, sandy, rainforest- fringed beach, it is bordered by the stunning geopark and offers a beach-based holiday with a twist. Visually stunning, the park includes rock formations which are 550 million years old. It is also home to some fascinating animals such as monkeys - some of which have cleverly adapted to their watery surroundings. The local wildlife is best seen by taking a boat trip out to the mangroves.

Fly back to the UK via Singapore, or perhaps extend your trip- we would be happy to give you some suggestions.

As a major airport hub, Singapore offers connections to many tempting destinations - Bali is within easy distance, or for a longer trip or sabbatical, exploring the southern hemisphere, this holiday would be the perfect complement to an antipodean adventure!
