Serengeti to Zanzibar, Just Us
Combine a safari in the world-renowned Serengeti with tropical beach time - surely a match made in heaven. Witness one of the greatest natural spectacles in the world - the Great Migration, when almost 2 million wildebeest and zebra follow the annual rains in search of prime grazing. Follow this up with time spent relaxing on the romantic 'spice island' of Zanzibar.

Fly into Arusha, from where you will connect onto your flight to the Serengeti. Whilst there are several excellent 'fixed' lodges, you can also opt for a mobile camp which tracks the migration to optimise game-viewing. In the open grassy savannahs antelope species abound, bringing predators with them, whilst the rivers are home to hippo and crocodile.
After a mesmerising 3 or 4 nights on safari, immersed in nature, fly back to Arusha for your connecting flight to Zanzibar, where you will spend your next 6-7 nights. The capital, Stone Town, is home to a fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets and colourful markets, but the East Coast, with its tropical white-sand beaches edged by gentle seas is the place to head for! Spend your days lazing in the sun, catching up on a novel or two, mixed with the odd day trip - with dolphin safaris, forest tours, cruising and of course scuba-diving on offer, you won’t want to leave.
Head back to Zanzibar airport and wave goodbye to island life as you head home.

suggested extensions
If you have the budget and time to extend your safari, we highly recommend adding two nights at the Ngorogoro Crater Lodge as well as considering a stay in Tarangire if you’re travelling June - September. Oman Air fly to Zanzibar via Muscat, so including a stop over in Oman could also make an interesting addition to the trip.
