Fly into Singapore where you will spend 2 nights - time to explore the city, take in Chinatown, indulge in the fabulous foodie scene and visit the awe-inspiring wonder that is Sands Sky Park for a well-deserved sun-downer or two.

From Singapore take a flight to Ho Chi Minh, the jumping off point for your immersion into Southern Vietnam with its rice paddies and charming villlages. Spend a day exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels with your own private local guide; hear how local residents constructed this intricate, underground network of tunnels during the French and American Wars; crawl underground to look at the tiny chambers, imagining what life was like for those who lived here. It's a fascinating insight into the impact of war on the local community and the country as a whole. You'll also have the chance to visit the War Remnants Museum for an insightful look into Vietnam’s military history, then continue to see the former Presidential Palace. From here take a walk around the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), the Continental Hotel, the Opera House and City Hall.

From Ho Chi Minh, you'll fly to Phu Quoc where you'll enjoy 4 nights down-time on the beach in this beautiful location off the coast of Cambodia, before transferring to the airport for your flight to Phnom PenhOnce considered one of the most beautiful cities in the Orient, Cambodia’s capital is a bustling city majestically located at the confluence of the mighty rivers of the Mekong and the Tonlé Sap. Wide tree-lined boulevards and colonial buildings add to the charm of this beguiling city where Asian traditions meet Western customs. As a more somber addition to your stay here, visit Visit Tuol Sleng Prison (S-21) and the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek - sites used by the Khmer Rouge regime when they ravaged the country in the 70s and 80s. The lasting effects of this tragic period are still being felt and although sobering, a grasp of this era is important in helping to understand present-day Cambodia.

Time to head to the beach for some R&R. Sihanoukville is a 4.5-hour drive away and the departure point for boat transfers to some stunning new island-based hotels such as Alila Villas Koh Russey and Six Senses - perfect for unwinding for a few days before flying to your final destination (flight time 65 minutes) - Siem Reap, home to the impressive Angkor Wat temple complex which surely needs no introduction. You'll also have the opportunity to visit picturesque Ta Prohm Temple and the ancient city of Angkor Thom - the last great city of the Khmer Empire.

Relaxed, refreshed and with your knowledge of Asian history and culture vastly increased, it's time to wave bye-bye to the Orient and head home.
