New England, USA
Boston was founded in 1630 by colonists from Plymouth, and has been the location of several renowned events from the American Revolution including the Boston Massacre and Boston Tea Party. In the present day the old world charm lies side by side with gleaming skyscrapers, hip museums and top-class restaurants. As well as large open spaces, the City has the Charles River at its heart and an attractive and bustling Harbour. ‘Must do’s in Boston include walking the 2.5 mile Freedom Trail that links 16 iconic sites as well as enjoying some excellent shopping at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, alive with busy boutiques.

Cape Cod, is located approx 90 minutes from Boston on the southernmost tip of Massachusetts and stretches 100 miles out in to the Atlantic Ocean. The nearby islands which include Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard are also easily accessible by boat on a day trip. This has long been the Summer playground of ‘well to do’ locals, providing a destination where they can relax and unwind away from the restrictions of City life. Whilst the Atlantic-facing coast of the Peninsula is backed by giant dunes, on the bay side pine woods and tidal beaches mingle provide the setting for clapboard houses and quaint cottages.
