rooms
The hotel’s 157 rooms, suites and residences manage to be both spacious and homely – many have fireplaces and balconies with teak furniture where you can sit and take in your own private view. All rooms also offer high speed internet access, a large TV and DVD player. Comfortably furnished (one guest told us the beds were ‘absurdly’ comfy) and with excellent linens, thick bathrobes and fluffy duvets you will feel pampered and instantly relaxed. We are consistently told how exceptionally quiet the rooms are too.
Most rooms have wonderful mountain or valley views. Though the mountain views come with a higher price tag, the valley views are still stunning and provide a welcome contrast to the mountain views in communal areas.

facilities & activities
The hotel showcases a 23m outdoor heated pool and whirlpools which can be enjoyed after a work out in the fitness centre. There is also an impressive alpine spa home to 16 treatment rooms where you can make your choice from a wide selection of relaxation treatments and a bespoke cosmetic range. We particularly recommend the massages which are also available in your room on request.
The activities on offer in the wilderness nearby are simply world class. The pristine forests and rivers offer endless opportunities for nature lovers including fly fishing – you can take lessons from the hotel’s in-house director - kayaking, canoeing and white water rafting. The hotel will happily provide your picnic lunch.
Back on dry land you could try your hand spotting elks, moose or even the elusive mountain lion on a wildlife safari in Teton or Yellowston or hire a guide to show you some of the local mountain bike or hiking trails. Don’t forget your camera!
The more adventurous can challenge mind, body and spirit learning rock climbing and mountaineering – beginners are welcome. Tennis and golf lovers can enjoy the excellent Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club. Several nearby ranches also offer a horse lover’s paradise with guided wilderness trails, some led by real cowboys.
As night falls the adventure continues with stargazing evenings in Grand Teton National Park. Enjoy wine, cheese and hot drinks watching the sunset then view the vast mountain skies with the resort’s state of the art telescope.

The hotel’s reputation as family friendly is well deserved. Child-proofed rooms can be booked in advance and under 18s can stay in their parents’ rooms in a crib or rollaway bed free of charge. The hotel can also provide nappies, playpens and baby shampoo upon request. The hotel’s residences – which offer from 2 – 5 bedrooms – can be particularly suitable for families as they are extra spacious and boast their own kitchen and lounge.
Children’s menus are available in the restaurants and for in-room dining. Nanny and babysitting services are also available on request for a fee.
There is a dedicated kids playroom with pool table, computer games and Xbox 360 videos, plus a library of wildlife and natural history DVDs for children who’ve caught the nature bug.

location
Set in Teton village, just minutes from the Snake River, a mile from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park and a one-hour drive from Yellowstone National Park the hotel is perfectly placed to start your adventure in America’s most famous wilderness.
The ideal introduction is surely taking the gondola - just a few steps from the hotel entrance - up the mountain for a four course lunch or sundowner and ‘slider. You’ll spot plenty of wildlife on the way.
Jackson Hole – a 20 minute bus or taxi drive away - offers cowboy saloons, classic western restaurants plus a vibrant arts scene and interesting boutiques. Don’t miss the twice weekly rodeo which has been part of the town’s cowboy culture since the first settlers arrived 100 years ago.
Getting here is surprisingly hassle-free too – you’re just a 35 minute drive from Jackson Hole airport which is serviced by Delta and United Airlines year round.
