The hotel boasts 342 chic and spacious guest rooms and suites, many with ocean views and some with private terraces. Rooms have cool colour schemes and are furnished in a contemporary Californian style. All have oversized flat screen TVs and CD players plus free WiFi.
Rooms are offered with either two double beds or one king size bed and come in a variety of options. The most basic room option, the standard room, comes without an ocean view. Other options are Pacific view rooms, offering north or south-facing views with glimpses of the Pacific or the pool, Coastal view rooms, offering views of the Santa Monica Beach, Premium Ocean View rooms, offering the best views of the Pacific Ocean, Ocean View Terrace Rooms with gorgeous Pacific views and patio, Poolside Cabana Rooms, offering the best access to the pool, your own private patio and fire pit and finally Beachcomber Fire Pit rooms – beach level rooms with fire pits and furnished terraces.
The hotel’s fabulous suites come in six different varieties, but all are spacious with remarkable ocean views. Options include the Ocean View King Suites with postcard-like views of the Pacific and small step out balcony, Beachcomber Fire Pit King Suites, beach level suites with fire pits and furnished terraces and Bay View Terrace Suites with furnished patio and fire pit.
The Santa Monica Suite is more beach house than hotel room with a residential living area and four step-out balconies, the Pacifica Suite is open-plan with magnificent views and three step out balconies and finally the penthouse-inspired Palm Suite has a furnished sundeck with fire pit, Pacific Ocean views, sitting room, dining room for six, bar…and a grand piano!

Overlooking the pristine sands of Santa Monica’s Muscle Beach and the Pacific beyond, the hotel’s beautiful outdoor pool complete with expansive two tier decks and Jacuzzi is a great area for indulging in a spot of complete relaxation. The onsite Ocean Spa and Fitness Centre offers the latest in equipment, technology and luxurious eco-friendly organic spa treatments including age defying facials and refreshing body treatments, together with steam rooms and dry saunas. Charges apply for both the fitness centre and spa, but we guarantee you will leave feeling renewed and rejuvenated.
With three and a half miles of well-maintained beach at your disposal there are plenty of opportunities to swim, surf, fish and try your hand at volleyball. Skates, rollerblades and bikes are available to rent too – a great way to explore the local area. Slightly further afield the bright lights of Hollywood await or for some world class shopping head to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Set in a retro lounge with a large terrace offering fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant Ocean and Vine offers the best of Californian cuisine including locally caught seafood and fresh produce from Santa Monica Farmer’s Markets. It’s open for breakfast and lunch daily and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. The restaurant also now offers its own Sushi at Sunset oceanfront sushi bar.
Blue Streak, the hotel’s poolside eatery, is open from 11am until 10pm and offers an array of drinks, snacks, smoothies and savoury main courses which can be enjoyed by the pool or one of six ocean front fire pits.
Papillon Santa Monica, a cosy fireside Santa Monica lounge, offers Loews Signature cocktails and tapas-style dishes and also hosts the Sunrise Breakfast Bar offering lattes, mochas, fresh fruit, smoothies and pastries.
The hotel’s new poolside ice cream shop, Beach Barn, also offers a dizzying array of artisanal ice creams.

Children of all ages are welcome at the hotel. Little ones are given a welcome gift on arrival and can enjoy a lending library of games. There are also specially designed Kidbanas, offering shade and a cosy retreat, by the pool. The hotel also provides children’s menus and babysitting is available for an additional cost.
The Loews Loves Kids programme offers unique services and Santa Monica activities designed to keep your children healthy and happy including special clubs and camps, though costs may apply. The Loews Loves Teens option offers similar age appropriate activities for those hard-to-please teenage guests.
Accommodation-wise children can share in rooms with two double beds. Alternatively most room types, as well as some suites with rooms, can interconnect, although this is not guaranteed.

Located within easy walking distance of a number of fantastic Santa Monica attractions, such as Palisades Park and the historic Santa Monica Pier, the hotel is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area.
Guests here are also just a 20-minute drive from Los Angeles International Airport and a short drive from Beverly Hills, Century City and West LA. Parking is available at the hotel for $40 per night. There is also a rental car agency in the hotel lobby, allowing guests to collect their hire cars directly from the hotel.
