The hotel has 252 rooms and suites offering luxurious, contemporary and comfortable accommodation. Room facilities include large flat screen TV, coffee-maker, plush bathrobes and in-room honour bar.

Standard Rooms face an internal courtyard while Deluxe Rooms offers city views, or why not upgrde to a Bay View Room for fantastic views of San Francisco Bay?

Rooms are available in a variety of configurations: King Rooms offer one king size bed, Queen rooms can offer one or two queen size beds, King Deluxe Rooms offer one king size bed in a larger room and Queen Queen Deluxe Rooms offer two queen size beds in a larger room. Bay View Queen Queen rooms offer 300 sq ft of space with two queen size beds and a spectacular view of San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz Island.

The 13 suites give a spacious 900 sq ft of space, each with a separate parlour and bedroom, spa bath and telescopes for looking out to sea.

The hotel boasts a 1,000 sq ft fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment plus in-room spa services - we think you’ll love the fantastic range of massage options and body treatments. There are even yoga mats and a yoga TV channel in each accommodation.

The Argonaut also hosts complimentary evening wine hours in the lobby every day curated by the hotel’s Master Sommelier.

San Francisco is bursting with activities and is really tourist-friendly to navigate by foot, bicycle, bus or the city’s old-fashioned trolley.

The city’s choice of restaurants is fabulous – there are 17 Michelin-starred eateries alone. We think you’ll love exploring the nearby waterfront trails leading over the Golden Gate Bridge towards Sausalito, a lovely area to wander around at your leisure.

Culture vultures will enjoy the city’s vibrant theatre scene and exploring excellent museums and art galleries. Children will love the Steinhart Aquarium. A visit to Alcatraz provides an interesting look at the island’s history through a self-guided audio tour.

Fisherman’s Wharf itself offers a mix of maritime history and gold rush nostalgia plus fabulous unobstructed views of Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. You are just walking distance from fabulous attractions including the shops and restaurants of Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39, the tall ships of Hyde Street Pier and the famous Powell-Hyde Street cable car turn-around.

The hotel’s Blue Mermaid Chowder House & Bar located next door to the hotel itself is a real treat for seafood lovers. We think you’ll love dishes like six types of homemade chowders, steamed mussels and classic cioppino (San Francisco fish stew). The restaurant is open daily and uses produce sourced through sustainable fishery guidelines. You’ll find wonderful wines, microbrewed beer and hand crafted cocktails to match your palate too.

The hotel welcomes children of all ages and its central location is great for getting about the city with little ones.  Children are welcomed with a gift and child-sized animal-print bathrobes are available during your stay.  The hotel will even deliver a goldfish to your room to keep children entertained!

There are some connecting rooms available and children under 17 stay free in existing bedding when accompanying an adult.  In-room child safety kits and cribs are available on request. Accredited babysitting services are available for a fee.
