It's easy to know you are in San Francisco thanks to the many iconic features such as the Golden Gate Bridge and the tram-laden hills. A trip to Alcatraz has to be a must along with a stroll along the Waterfront to try some local Chowder. In-land Yosemite National Park showcases ancient Redwood forests and thundering waterfalls whilst the sheer granite cliffs of Half Dome and El Capitan are never far from your line of vision.

Head back to the coast for a stay in Monterey, a relaxed coastal fishing town, featuring an excellent aquarium before driving the Big Sur, a 125-mile stretch of Highway 1 which hugs the coastline and offers some of the most famous views in the world. Continuing South, the pretty and relaxed town of Santa Barbara features a Mountain backdrop and terracotta tiles roofs of Spanish inspired buildings established after the town was levelled in an earthquake in 1925. Contrastingly, Los Angeles is a sprawling metropolis but it is possible to stay on the beach and see all the sights including Disneyland. San Diego is home to the world famous Zoo as well as Sea World and LEGOLAND. However, the City offers a more wild side such as Torrey Pines and the Old Town is the epicenter of a vibrant Mexican community.
