North Rim Grand Canyon Lodge, Arizona and Las Vegas
MenuNorth Rim can often be overlooked as a spot from which to marvel at the Grand Canyon, as it is further to travel from Vegas than West and South, but in our view, it's worth the journey. The views from the restaurant, literally perched on the edge, are simply breathtaking, especially when you can spot the majestic Condors 'catching a thermal'. We recommend booking ahead for dinner, before heading back to your rustic, cosy cabin. Please note the access road is closed November - mid May.

rooms
Cabins are nestled in the firs, often with a porch to sit out and admire the setting. Frontier Cabins feature a double bed whilst Western Cabins Cabins come complete with two queen sized beds. If you are seeking connected accommodation, Pioneer Cabins have a Queen bedroom and second bedroom with bunk beds and double sleeper couch, cosy but fun!
-
facilities & activities
The best activity here is to sit on the deck and enjoy the stunning surroundings! Or strike out on a local hike. On a more practical level, guest laundry facilities are available, so a good time to catch up on the washing during your American road trip!
-
dining
The Lodge Dining Room, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, is perched on the rim of the Canyon. As a result it's unsurprisingly busy, so book on line well before you travel. The Deli in the Pines offers some meals for when you are on the go, whilst the Rough Rider Saloon is open for drinks and snacks. To make your most of your Canyon experience, why not book a Cookout during the Summer months!

family
The Canyon is easily accessible from the Lodge and the views from the Terrace amazing, so you don't need to venture far to feel like you have 'been and seen'.
An additional bed can be requested for a Frontier Cabin whilst Western Cabins with two queen sized beds can sleep families of 4. For those seeking more space, Pioneer Cabins have a Queen bedroom and second bedroom with bunk beds and double sleeper couch, it's possible to fit a family of 6 in here although space will be tight!
-
location
The Lodge is located approximately a 5 hour drive from Las Vegas, but it's a stunning journey. If you feel this is too long for one day, we recommend stopping off at Zion National Park or Bryce Canyon for the night! 2 or 3 hours on and you'll be at Lake Powell for a contrasting adventure!
