Sun-drenched California makes a prefect venue for the former. Fly in to San Francisco and drive 'The Big Sur' down to LA, perhaps stopping in Yosemite en-route. One of our favourite destinations is Montana, home to Yellowstone National Park and some excellent ranches, whilst a trip to the Grand Canyon ranks high on many holiday wish lists. The West coast can be combined with the wilds of British Columbia, Canada or the more tropical venue of Hawaii.
If you are thinking of staying East, our holidays include fly drives from Washington DC to Boston, taking in New York and Cape Cod, or shorter City stays. Florida not only offers the theme parks of Orlando but also the nature-rich coast of the Gulf of Mexico whilst Miami also has excellent onward links to the Caribbean.

Flights: BA fly direct to more airports in the USA from London than any other carrier. You can fly BA direct from London Heathrow (LHR) to JFK International Airport or Newark Airport (EWR) in approx. 7 1/2 hours. With over 17 flights a day, you can choose a flight to suit you. BA also operate twice daily direct flights from London to Miami, with a journey time of approx. 9 hours. For those flying with BA to San Diego and Los Angeles, you can expect an 11-hour flight, and half an hour less if you are heading to San Francisco. There are a multitude of other flight options to other US airports.
