  • dining

Breakfast is served in The Terrace set on the ground floor of the elegant Great House, with stunning views of the lily pond and Caribbean Sea.  Quite the most perfect start to your day!

Aside from this there are a further three restaurants at the resort offering a wide variety of food from fine international cuisine to casual tropical fare:

The Bayside Restaurant, set on the beach, offers relaxed a la carte dining for lunch and dinner whilst for a spot of something more formal, The Great Room serves dinner and offers fine dining in candlelit, air-conditioned surroundings. The Cane Bar, a specialty rum bar featuring cutting-edge style, a glowing white bar and comfortable over-sized furniture, serves an Asian Inspired menu nightly 6-10pm.

On the white sands of newly-created Glenconner Beach, the Pier Bar serves beach snacks, cocktails and cooling drinks daily. For snacks and cocktails, the Bayside Bar also offers a relaxed beach menu. Enjoy afternoon tea at The Palm Court Lounge, or later on treat yourself to a cocktail here.

The hotel offers a Dine Anywhere, Anytime experience, where guests are encouraged to enjoy a meal at any of the fabulous locations on offer.

Highlights for us are the rum cocktails at The Cane Bar, whilst the stylish Late Night Bar features thought-provoking artwork and also has an open-air terrace to enjoy the starry skys.

  • family

The Sugar Club Sugar provides supervised activities for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old. Children under 4 will be accommodated when accompanied by an adult. All activities are complimentary, fun and educational and combine the rainforest environment and marine biology information with story-telling, dance classes and craft making.

Younger guests now have the chance to discover the fun and challenges of sailing by joining the new Sugar Beach Youth Sailing Club. The club offers first time sailors aged 10 to 17 the chance to learn the basics of sailing in classes covering everything from rigging, parts of the boat, basic boat handling and seamanship, points of sail, capsize recovery, safety and “rules-of-the-waves”. Taught using the resort’s fleet of 3.5m Laser Pico sailboats, the emphasis of the 5-6 day program is for participants to gain on-the-water experience within the protected environs of Anse des Pitons while also learning important sailing theory. At the end of the course, each sailor will be awarded a certificate for their accomplishments. A graduate of the beginners’ sailing school should gain all the skills necessary to confidently and safely continue their sailing experience in the intermediate sailing classes offered in the afternoon. The  Club is headed by coach Dylan Charles, a young sailor himself with 10 years of sailing under his belt and two years teaching experience with students as young as 6.

For teens and tweens, there are activities such as table tennis, croquet, billiard tournaments, pinball machines and video games. Kayaking, paddle boarding and tennis are also popular.

A babysitting service is available at an additional charge and Childrens' menus are offered at the Bayside and Great Room restaurants.

Accommodation-wise there are a number of excellent options suitable for families. Superior and Grand Villas can sleep up to two children on the sofa-bed in the sitting room and an additional bed can be placed in the main bedroom. Maximum occupancy is three adults or two adults and two children under 12.

Two children can also share with their parents in a Luxury Beachfront Bungalow with two bedrooms.

We think the Two bedroomed Grand Luxury Villas are fantastic for families and can be made up by joining a Superior Villa and a Grand Villa via a communal lobby. Ideal for two families or extended family travelling together this exceptionally spacious villa offers two terraces and two plunge pools! Sleeps six adults or four adults and four children.
