facilities & activities
From mid May to the end of October don’t miss the chance to go on a local whale watching tour. You will have an excellent chance of seeing Orca Whales, Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, seals, sea lions and other local wildlife. You could also try kayaking the inner harbour or take a floatplane tour.
Downtown Victoria, a short stroll from the hotel, has many art galleries and museums including The Royal BC Museum, showcasing the human and natural history of British Columbia. The Butchart Gardens, 30 minutes by car, is another popular day trip.
Guests at The Oswego Hotel can enjoy the hotel’s complimentary fitness centre or, for a special treat, why not indulge in an in-room spa treatment after exploring the sights.

dining
Despite the varied dining options available nearby there is much to recommend the hotel’s own restaurant O’Bistro. The chefs here have created wonderful brunch and dinnermenus from the freshest local and seasonal West coast ingredients and they are served in a setting that reflects the hotel’s stylish, modern feel. Gluten free clients are well catered for with their own excellent menus.
At the restaurant’s happy hour each evening from 4-6pm clients can enjoy complimentary freshly made flatbreads and dips with their drinks – the perfect antidote to a hard day’s sightseeing. Enjoy the atmosphere created by the stone fireplace in the cooler months or dine al fresco on the patio in the crisp ocean air when the weather is warm. The hotel’s intimate Lounge is also an excellent casual option for sipping a cocktail, fine wine, or beer.

family
The location, close to the many family friendly attractions of Victoria, will suit those travelling with younger guests. A variety of watersports and whale watching trips are available from the harbour and both a zip line adventure tour and children’s farm are close by.
The hotel’s suites are particularly suited to families as their fully equipped gourmet kitchens offer the option to self cater. One-bedroom suites include a queen size bed in the bedroom plus a sofa bed in the separate living space. The two bedroom suites are also ideal for families seeking a 'home away from home' as each bedroom has a queen size bed plus a pull-out sofa bed in the large living space. There are two bathrooms in these larger suites, each with a soaker tub and separate shower. Cots are also available.
