  • facilities & activities

The area around Ucluelet is one of the world’s best salmon and halibut fishing destinations – jump on a sport fishing charter and enjoy! Bird watching here is also world class and if you visit between February and April don’t miss the chance to go whale watching. Other popular outdoor pursuits here are surfing and kayaking, beachcombing, hiking and storm watching. You can begin exploring miles of coastal trails and pristine beaches in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve from just outside the hotel.

When you can tear yourself away from the natural splendours on offer, perhaps visit the well equipped gym, or treat yourself to a relaxing visit to the Drift Spa, which is inspired by the wild Pacific landscape and offers its own line of body and skincare featuring wild organic seaweed for its treatments.  There is a couple's massage room overlooking the ocean, a hydrotherapy tub and a relaxing lounge.  Enjoy a soak in one of the outdoor hot tubs or the plunge pool.

  • dining

The hotel’s studios and suites come complete with kitchens and BBQs can also be rented in the summer months. However there are also some excellent onsite dining options.

After a day working up an appetite in the fresh air, enjoy a meal from menus featuring locally sourced seasonal ingredients and West Coast wines in the resort's Fetch restaurant.  During the summer months, diners can choose to eat on the outdoor patio overlooking the active surge channel and Wild Pacific Trail.  Every table inside the restaurant has a wonderful view of the surrounding rocky headland and Pacific Ocean.  Fetch is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Float Lounge, open daily from 3-10pm, offers cocktails, drinks and a light snack menu in a contemporary setting (even the bar is shaped like a wave!) with floor-to-ceiling windows to soak up the views.
