This stunning resort is located in the Musandam Peninsula, known as the ‘Norway of the Middle East’ due to its fjord-like waterways. Sitting between dramatic mountains and a sandy beach, it is accessed from Dubai by road, power boat or even paraglide! Spacious villas, with rustic chic décor, feature private pools and outdoor showers.

    Zighy has 82 uniquely designed air-conditioned villas offering full facilities including 24-hour butler service, oversized bath-tub with whirlpool jets, mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities, flat panel satellite TV, DVD player, walk in closet and safe. Private swimming pools are accompanied by sundeck with loungers and an outdoor dining suite.

    Pool Villas (247 square metres) present a studio design concept whilst Spa Pool Villas are a similar size but highlighted with a personal in-villa Spa within which guests can enjoy pampering treatments. Pool Villa Suites and Spa Pool Villa Suites (412 square metres) offer facilities as above but offer a separated bedroom and sitting room. Deluxe Pool Villas (334 square metres) and Deluxe Spa Pool Villas (334 square metres) are designed with the bedroom on the lower level and living area on the upper level with views of the mountain fjords that rise above the bay. Zighy Pool Villas (437 square metres) and Zighy Spa Pool Villas (437 square metres) are again split over two levels with stunning outlooks.

    A supplement can be paid to guarantee a beach front location although the larger villas all have this benefit as standard.

    Up to 1 child can share with parents in a Pool Villa or Pool Villa Suite (exceptions may apply in Low Season). Up to 3 children can share a Deluxe Pool Villa (converted in to 2 bedrooms) or Zighy Pool Villa with parents. Some interconnecting villas are also available on request.

    Facilities include two swimming pools (one of which is salt water) and an artisan gallery for on-site purchases or scheduled trips to local villages, souks and Dubai shopping malls.

    The Six Senses Spa features nine treatment rooms, a juice bar and two Arabian Hammams. It offers local and signature treatments including the four-handed Sensory Spa Journey along with holistic wellness and rejuvenation programmes to rejuvenate and revitalize the senses.

    All guests have complimentary use of hotel bikes, and there are hiking and running trails available whilst hilltop meditation, yoga and pilates sessions cater for those seeking calm. Lessons including Calligraphy, Henna Painting, Date Palm climbing, the Arabic language and the Oud (Arabic guitar) are offered to those interested in immersing themselves in the local culture (additional charges may be applicable).

    Activities off-site include non-motorised watersports, snorkelling, diving, kayaking, waterskiing, wakeboarding and hand-line fishing. Mountain trekking and biking, guided off-road excursions, tandem paragliding and flying a micro-light aircraft, which gives you a fantastic perspective of the local landscape, are also on offer nearby.

    With a philosophy of sourcing excellent ingredients to give a fantastic culinary experience, the four restaurants blend the rustic Omani village feel, yet ooze elegance and sophistication. There are a multitude of options to choose from including Western, Middle Eastern, Indian and Japanese at Summer House. Alternativelt, 'Shua Shack' offers a traditional Bedouin communal dining experience with under sand cooking.

    The 'Sense on the Edge’ restaurant is an award-winning mountain top dining venue, located 293 metres above sea level, overlooking Zighy Bay, with an adjacent lounge ‘Drinks on the Edge’. The other bar ‘Chill’ offers a chance to kick back with a sun downer.

    In villa dining offers a 24 hour service including champagne breakfasts and private barbecue dinners beneath the stars- perfect for a litttle indulgence or to mark a special occasion.

    Guests can also enjoy a private dining experience at selected romantic venues in and around the bay. The Chef and the Sommelier will work with you to create your perfect menu.

    Children are welcome at Six Senses Zighy Bay. There is a children's club- 'Chaica's Club' offering a wealth of activities including snorkelling, water polo, tennis, crab hunting, sand castle building, and also educational activities such as learning about marine biology and the environment. Children’s bicycles are available on request.

    Chaica's Club caters for children aged 4 - 12 years and a full programme of entertainment and activities is offered daily from 08:00 to 13:30, from 15:00 to 17:00 and again from 19:30 to 21:00. Younger guests will need to be accompanied by an adult or a babysitter at an additional charge.

    Their Teens Club, Al Feetean's, caters for 12 - 18 years and includes activities, such as beach volley ball, abseiling, self defense, morning workout, kayaking, survival skills and more. Other complimentary activities regularly available include: table tennis, table football, darts, Wii, football, volleyball, air hockey and a variety of other games and activities.

    Cinema Paradiso keeps all the family entertained with movies on the beach under a blanket of stars while Zighy's rather fabulous ushers serve five flavours of popcorn, 40 ice-cream flavours and refreshing soft drinks.
