For a relaxing drink during the day or under the stars by night, opt for a coffee and snack at Al Baha in the bustling courtyard, or head up to the Al Burj lounge in ‘The Tower’, for night-time views and a cocktail under the glittering night-sky.

Families of all shapes and sizes are welcome at this mountain retreat, with touches such as a shaded toddler pool and kid's menu. A Kid's Club operates  for guests with little legs who maybe aren’t up to the mountain treks, and the teen-zone includes a pool-table and table-tennis.

A journey of 2-3 hours from Muscat brings you to this unique resort - you will encounter some winding roads along the way so anyone who suffers from travel sickness may want to come equipped. The hotel is situated on the edge of Jabal Akhdar village and within easy reach of many trails - perfect for exploring. It's just a 30-minute drive from the ancient city of Nizwa - well worth a visit.
