The star attraction is undoubtedly the vast infinity pool which vies with the expansive white-sand beach for your attention. With watersports, beach volleyball, tennis, sunset yoga, camel rides and cooking classes on offer there's plenty to keep everyone entertained. The incredible Spa (miss it at your peril!) offers traditional and Ayurveda treatments with an Omani twist, whilst also featuring a Hammam and nail salon.. Or, if you’d rather take advantage of the nearby ocean, teeming with life, there’s dolphin watching, fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving (additional cost).

For those keen to explore further afield, local guides lead day-trips, taking in sights such as archaeological ruins, forts and fishing villages, wildlife viewing at the nearby lake or you can venture further afield into the enigmatic Empty Quarter desert.

Al Baleed offers a wide array of culinary delights with 3 restaurants each focused on a contrasting dining experience. Smart ‘Sakalan’ delivers signature, all-day dining and is the perfect breakfast base and offers an incredible buffet with an enticing array of pastries, cheeses, dim sum and hot dishes, along with made-to-order juices and shakes. 

Mekong specialises in exotic Asian cuisine; order a selection of dishes to share or forr a romantic dinner à deux, staff will create a tailor-made menu served in a cosy beach dugout surrounded by lanterns.

Al Mina, with its relaxed beach bar vibe, offers exotic Mediterranean dishes, which can be savoured at a shoreline table or even lounging poolside. Classy cocktails and shisha are the order of the day at sundown.

The resort is great for families, with ample space for children to explore, whether it’s splashing in the stunning main pool or running along the vast soft sand beach which also hosts ‘Cinema Under the Stars’.

One child under 12 can share all room types on a day bed, whilst the one bedroom villas can accommodate up to 2 children on a sofa bed / extra beds in the lounge areas. If you are travelling as a party of 5 or 6, opt for a Two Bedroom Garden View Pool Villa, or for extended families of up to 9, the Three Bedroom Royal Beach Villa is the perfect home-from-home.

The Albahhara Kinds’ Club keeps young children entertained whilst teenagers can socialise at the Alshirae Teens Club.

The Resort is nestled between a beautiful palm-fringed private peach and freshwater lagoon in Salalah on the southern tip of Oman. It's just a 20-minute drive from Salalah Airport, accessed via a 1.5 hour flight from the Omani capital of Muscat from where there are frequent direct flights to London Heathrow. The southern province is famed for its tropical fruit plantations and summer monsoon.
