Paracas, Ica & Nazca, Peru

The dramatic drive south from Lima, hugs the coastline and takes you through rolling desert landscapes to Paracas, Nazca and Ica. Paracas is the gateway to the Ballestas Islands, renowned as the 'mini-Galapagos', ue to the abundance of bird and marine life.  Nazca is of course famous for the many enigmatic lines, visible from a light-aircraft. If you prefer your adrenalin-fix on the ground though, there's plenty of fun to be hand in the towering sand dunes - whether you prefer to be cocooned in a june buggy as you twist, jump and weave your way through the dunes or if sand-boarding is more your thing. Teens will be in heaven here. You can include a 4WD dune adventure as part of your transfer from Lima too - perfect for breaking up the journey.
