A small, intimate hotel, there are just 41 semi-detached or detached 'casitas'. The larger bungalows are ideal for families. All the casitas have a private terrace and spacious bathrooms, and in the premium category you'll also enjoy an outdoor jacuzzi and a separate living room. Décor is beautiful, with local textiles and individual murals over the bed.

Hotel facilities include a gift shop, business centre and Yacu Wasi spa. The spa includes a fully-equipped sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and Spanish bath. A wide selection of spa therapies are offered including facials, wraps and masks, along with newer treatments such as music therapy and energy therapies such as reiki. Massages include traditional Swedish massage, shiatsu, and reflexology. Classes or personal sessions in yoga and tai chi are also available. 

There is a gorgeous new heated pool and jacuzzi alongside an impressive new fitness centre and sauna. The pool, jacuzzi and terrace all offer spectacular views onto the pretty patchwork mountains and peaks of the Andes, proving that this well loved and often favourited hotel continues to 'wow' guests. 

The hotel has its own activity centre, Wayra, where you can organise a great range of activities; such as mountain-biking, trekking, horse-riding, wine-tasting and cooking workshops as well as fascinating tours out and about. The Peruvian Paso horse show is highly recommended (12 noon until 3pm) and complimentary if you have purchased lunch. You are welcome to explore the exemplary onsite stables, and the friendly and welcoming staff usually let children have a gentle ride around the paddocks (on possibly the most well-behaved horses we've ever seen!).

The ‘Killa Wasi’ Restaurant features Novo Andino cuisine, a distinctive blend of Andean, coastal and international flavours. The Chicha Wasi lounge/bar above the restaurant features a full international drinks list. Behind the luxurious pool area is an all-new terrace and lounge space where guests can dine on an exclusive pool-side menu with handpicked dishes dedicated to health and well-being.

On the other side of the property is Wayra, serving up local fare in a casual setting. Outdoor seating is available in seasonal weather, and many guests prefer to sit there enjoying the barbecue and grilled buffet. Lunch is served family-style with course after course of local salads accompanied by grilled meat and fish as well as numerous local sauces — including the hotel’s own recipe of chimichurri sauce. The Cellar, a sophisticated, private basement dining area with stone walls accented by racks of wine bottles, can be reserved for special occasions.

family

Children are welcome at the hotel although there are no specific facilities as such. There are family casitas and children will love the grounds and visiting the stables, not to mention the tuk tuk rides into town. There are a plethora of activities on offer, although many are perhaps more suited to older children/ teens. 

location

The hotel is located in the province and district of Urubamba, in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, at an altitude of 8850 feet, one hour’s drive from Cusco city or airport. Just a short distance from the hotel, you can find important archaeological sites like Moray, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero and Machu Picchu. You can easily take a tuk tuk or taxi into Urubamba town (5 mins away) where there are plenty of local restaurants, laudry services etc.
