If you are feeling inclined to be more active, you can explore the extensive estate by bike or on horseback. Guests usually stay on a bed & breakfast basis, but eat at the restaurant in the evening.

Walking and hiking enthusiasts will love the many different and varied routes for trekking as well as horse-riding and biking. With routes all levels, everyone can appreciate the magnificent views over the spectacular valley. Closer to the hotel, a visit to the farm to bottle feed the baby alpacas is understandably popular. Enjoy star-gazing in the evenings up to the clear night sky, catch what you can from the trout pond with a rather rustic fishing rod or check out the vegetable gardens.
Venture out into Colca Canyon, discovering spectacular ravines, hidden lagoons and fascinating local flora and fauna, not to mention the incredible condors for which the area is famed. Nearby Andean villages offer a charming insight into local life.

Housed in the main building, the restaurant is open all day for guests, serving delicious Peruvian based cuisine, using fresh produce and herbs from the hotel's garden and farm. Buffet breakfast is served in the morning and Andean a la carte dining throughout the day - an evening meal on the terrace is a particular treat. Andean cookery classes are on offer for guests.
The Yaqü Wasi Bar is perfect for enjoying delicious cocktails prepared from homegrown herbs and fruits from the bio-garden.

Nestled in the deepest canyon in the Americas, close to the south coast of Peru, the setting is unique asnd undoubtedly impressive, but nights can be chilly at 9,800 feet above sea level. Colca Canyon sits in the Andes Mountains, close to the colonial village of Yanque. It is approximately a 3 hour drive from Arequipa, which is itself approx. 70 minutes by air from Lima.
