Bushbaby Travel: Inspiring travel for life

MC Elite, The Galapagos

bushbaby rating

The Galapagos Elite was specially designed for sailing the sapphire waters of the enchanted Galapagos Islands and is a great option for wildlife-loving families keen to experience these magnificent islands in luxury. A sleek, twin-hulled catamaran, it's a great option for anyone who might be concerned about motion sickness as it offers a steady, safe cruise without the rocking and swaying common to older, single-hulled yachts. It goes without saying that she features state-of-the-art navigation technology and safety equipment. As well as better stability, Elite boasts more space per guest on board than any other ship in the Galapagos with elegant and airy social areas and generous guest suites spread over three different decks. Cabins are spacious, comfortable and well-appointed; the perfect place to relax and recharge after a day spent exploring the islands. Each enjoys stunning ocean views from the panoramic windows views as well as an outdoor private balcony. Guests of all ages can enjoy the ample, semi-covered sky deck with al fresco dining area and a cosy bar-salon. As one of just 16 passengers, you're assured an intimate cruising experience with attentive and personal service from the crew in keeping with what is a world-class cruise line.

Elite visits the best visitor sites the Galapagos islands have to offer; your itinerary might include highlights such as the stark, volcanic fields of Fernandina Island, the Albatross nesting sites of Española, snorkelling with sea lions around “Devil’s Crown” and the world-famous “Bird Island” of Genovesa. Along the way, visitors can expect to see all of the iconic animals associated with the islands, including giant tortoises, land and marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, and much, much more.

There are a choice of itineraries; 3-night itineraries to the southern and eastern islands, 4-night itineraries to the northern and eastern islands and 7-night options, heading east and west or north and south are possible with fixed departure dates. The cruise operator alternates two different 7-night itineraries as required by the Galapagos National Park in an effort to better reduce usage on heavily visited sites. The order of visits may vary slightly depending on local weather conditions or as directed by the National Park.
