rooms
The hotel has 32 rooms, each styled with Atacameñan details.
There are 16 spacious 'Oriente' rooms, all with terraces enjoying volcano views, as well as bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers.
The 14 slightly larger 'Poniente' rooms have bathrooms with bath and shower, as well as terraces with views of the gardens and Salt Mountains.
Two family rooms sleep up to six with one master bedroom and two rooms with twin beds and their own bathrooms.
All rooms feature mountain and volcano views, private terrace, outdoor shower, hairdryer, central heating, air conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone and safe deposit box.

Located in a separate building, the Uma Spa (“water” in the local Aymará language) has a heated indoor pool with bubble beds, jets and cascades as well as relaxation areas with volcano views. Facilities include steam baths, an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi.Changing rooms have L’Occitane amenities. Services include a full range of massages and facials, with specialist treatments based on the local desert elements.
Large windows open out to the deck with outdoor infinity pool, Jacuzzi, outdoor wooden hot-tub and more relaxation beds around the pool.
The hotel encourages guests to discover the scenery, wildlife, flora and archaeology of the Altiplano. At the beginning of their stay, guests meet with the head guide to select their preferred excursions, taking into account individual interests and fitness levels. There is a great selection of activities including hikes, walks, bicycle rides, horse-riding, volcano climbs and 4WD excursions.
Relaxing at the hotel and spa is always a lovely compliment to the outdoor adventures.

Meals are prepared using fresh, local ingredients and there are plenty of healthy, but delicious options.
The wine list is extensive,including boutique and organic wines, and guests have the opportunity to sample different varieties according to their choice of menu.
The bar serves a wide variety of drinks, including old favorites as well as Chilean standards like the pisco sour plus fun twists like pisco sours with chili, ginger or mango.

Located in Northern Chile, at 2,400m above sea level, San Pedro de Atacama is an oasis in the Atacama Desert.
The hotel is a 15 minutes walk to the center of the village, which is itself a one hour drive from Calama airport (approx. two hours flight from Santiago).
San Pedro is a great year around destination.
