Mendoza, Argentina
Located in the foothills of the majestic Andes, Mendoza is of course most famous for being the centre of Argentina’s booming wine industry and most guests who come here, look forward to a tour of the local vineyards and plenty of opportunities to sample the local product. Mendoza is brimming with charm and is surprisingly well thought-out with beautiful tree-lined avenues and that lovely laid back provincial feel, which makes a visit here very relaxing.
There are plenty of things to do in and around town apart from tasting wine all day, although you could be forgiven if that’s all you did. Riding is very popular and the setting is hard to beat. There are some wonderful smaller luxury hotels emerging, offering guests the perfect base from which to explore.
