Menu

The huge appeal of this hotel is its location amidst tropical jungle, bordering the Iguazu falls themselves in the Argentine National Park. Set over three floors, it directly overlooks Garganta del Diablo, the widest and most dramatic section of the falls. The thundering roar of the water in the distance is just a small indication of what awaits you, just a short stroll away, when you are confronted with one of nature’s most stunning spectacles.

Sheraton Iguazú Hotel & Spa
  • rooms

There are 176 spacious air-conditioned rooms, spread out over three floors, each with television, minibar and safe as well as picture windows and a private balcony. For views of the river and falls opt for Superior Fall View Rooms, otherwise the Superior Jungle View Rooms offer great views of the National Park.

  • facilities & activities

As you would expect from a larger hotel, there are plenty of facilities available for guests- from the lovely adult and children’s swimming pools to the fully-equipped gym, flood-lit tennis courts and business centre.

One of the highlights of a stay here has to be the modern and serene SEDA Spa, positioned in a jungle setting to the accompaniment of birdsong. Hotel guests can use the sauna, steam room, relaxation room, salon and pool or opt for one of the many appealing spa treatments, some using locally inspired therapies. The large hot water whirlpool, used for therapeutic treatments is especially appealing.

The bar is a popular meeting point in the evenings, with comfortable seating, a selection of books available, free internet access (also available in the rooms for a charge) and televisions.

Clearly, the main reason most guests stay is to enjoy a close up experience of the mighty falls. The hotel can provide you with information on where, when and how best to see the falls. However, if you do opt to stay longer than 1-2 nights, consider a day trip to the fascinating Jesuit Missions.

  • dining

Guest usually stay on a bed and breakfast basis and can expect an extensive and delicious breakfast buffet with several hot food options, in addition to fresh fruit, juices and fabulous coffee. The impressive view of the falls might prove somewhat of a distraction though!

The restaurant ‘Garganta del Diablo’ does of course also offer lunch and dinner- fresh fish features heavily on the menu and it wouldn’t be Argentina without the traditional Argentine BBQ. For light snacks the poolside Jeriba Bar is a good option during the day. In the evening you might like to head to the Lobby Bar for a sunset cocktail as you watch the magnificent falls. For dinner, you have the option of heading into town to try out one of the local eateries instead.

  • family

The hotel welcomes families and can provide children’s meals, babysitting as well as cots and extra beds if required.

  • location

Only 10 minutes from the airport, the hotel could not be easier to reach. The town of Puerto Iguazú is just 25 minutes away. If you arrive into Foz de Iguacu airport, expect the transfer to take approx. 1 hour.
