facilities & activities
Awasi Iguazú is the perfect spot to enjoy the world famous National Park and its surroundings, while also enjoying especially crafted excursions that go beyond the falls.
A stay here gives you that much appreciated 'head start' in accessing the Falls themselves; whilst there's no early entry - yet (something the lodge are working towards!), guests are able to enter much closer to the action and hence enjoy around 30 minutes of quiet time before the day visitors arrive. From Awasi's entry point you can access both the lower and the upper circuits and guests can head to the Garganta del Diablo from there if they are feeling energetic and up for a 3km walk/jog, although there's also the option of waiting for the little train should that not appeal.
The Falls aside, the lodge also enjoys a sublime location in the Atlantic Rainforest; unconnected to any other rainforest, it is home to thousands of endemic plants and animals. Awasi have worked with renowned biologists to create a series of excursions that go beyond the falls; from landscape to history, flora and fauna, the Misiones Province is a melting pot of contrasts and diversity. With a little luck you should see tapirs, capuchin monkeys and, if you are especially lucky, there is also puma . There are a plethora of jungle trails, crystal clear pools, only reachable by boat and archaeological Jesuit ruins. The local Guarani tribes practice ancient artisan crafts and know more about the rainforest than anyone else
After days spent exploring the impressive natural scenery in and around the Iguazú Falls, return to Awasi for a swim in your own private plunge pool, a drink at the bar in the main lodge and long evening meals in the welcoming restaurant.
Awasi follows the safari model when it comes to meals, drinks, and outdoor activities: everything is included; guests stay on an all-inclusive with private transfers to and from Puerto Iguazu Airport, all meals, beverages (including premium wine and spirits), private guided excursions and personal 4WD vehicle. Although there is no pool or spa, each villa has a plunge pool and in-room massages can be arranged. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi.
