Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, Mauritius
MenuIt’s hard to believe that the stunning Le Paradis Resort started out as a humble collection of thatched rondavels many moons ago. The first of its kind on the island, it had the pick of locations and sits proudly in the best of them: The Le Morne Peninsula. Surrounded by miles of pristine white sand, bordering a turquoise lagoon and sheltered by the majestic Le Morne Brabant Mountain, it’s a location hard to beat. Renowned for the warm welcome, it also offers a sparkling menu of sports facilities, a championship golf course, mouth-watering dining and acres of space. And, despite being a haven for families, it never feels crowded, leaving you to enjoy your own private taste of paradise.

rooms
The spacious sea facing rooms and suites are dotted amongst the white sands and are authentically Mauritian in style with neutral tones and glossy dark wood.
Deluxe rooms are found within the hotel gardens and overlook the lagoon. These can be interconnected and have private terraces. The Tropical Rooms are found in the two and three story villas overlooking the sea with private balconies and large terraces, or choose an Ocean Beachfront Room, with prime beachside location. For larger groups, the three bedroom Paradis Villas are a great option. Exclusive, private and with beachfront locations, they offer plenty of space for families or groups of friends and the wooden decking offers the perfect spot for al fresco gatherings. The exclusive valet service helps too!

facilities & activities
The azure coastline offers a smorgasbord of activities (most of which are complimentary), from water skiing, windsurfing and sailing, to pedal boats and snorkelling. On dry land the excitement continues with an oversized pool, a tennis and golf academy, mountain trekking, horse riding and even a helicopter ride up to Le Morne’s underwater waterfall (extra charges may apply). There‘s a well-being spa to restore and renew and a 24 hour shuttle to the sister resort of Dinarobin for a further gamut of activities to explore. And behind the scenes, organising all the fun, are the warm and attentive staff, for which nothing is too much trouble.

dining
Exactly as you’d expect from one of the best 5* resorts in Mauritius, dining is a sumptuous feast. There are four restaurants scattered across the grounds with an extensive choice of menus. Choose from Italian fine dining, to traditional Creole recipes or fresh and seasonal fish dishes, all served up in a choice of ambiences; whether you are after elegant dining at The Blue Marlin or a casual toes-in-the-sand lunch at La Palma. And if that isn’t enough, then guests are welcome to sample the four further restaurants at Dinarobin, found just across the marina.

family
The resort is the top choice for families on the island. The prime beachfront location on a protected peninsula offers a safe playground for children, along with a free mini club for ages 3 -12 located near the centre of the hotel and close to all the facilities. With its own restaurant, TV, large play area and bouncy castle, they will be happily entertained for hours.
Fussy eaters are well catered for and it is baby heaven with freshly prepared purees delivered at exactly the time you need it, along with all the baby paraphernalia required. All of the room choices offer interconnecting options, giving a wide choice. The Family Suites offer spacious, two bedroom accommodation and can be organised to suit both teenagers and tots. Or there are the newer Ocean Beachfront Family Suites found at the quieter end of the resort with private entrances. The Villas are also a great choice, providing private accommodation and maximum flexibility but with all the five star facilities within easy reach. (We should probably also mention that there is also the option of a private valet and chef too….). Babysitting is also provided. -
location
Edging one of the most scenic shorelines on the island, on the South Western tip, the resort is an easy hour’s drive from the airport. Or just hop on one of the private helicopters, if that’s more your thing….
