    For the sports enthusiast there's a huge state of the art sports complex – choose from a fully equipped gym, football pitches, street basketball, squash and tennis courts, yoga, pilates and there's even a rock climbing wall. Croatians take their food seriously and are justifiably proud of their traditional delicacies. Mouth-watering, fresh, seasonal and exciting - there's a huge range of options for dining here. Enjoy the catch of the day and fabulous views at Cilantro beneath the Sunset Pool and Bar, or choose from the extensive buffet at cosmopolitan Origano; find yourself a terrace table and enjoy the spectacular vistas while you tuck in. For a live kitchen and the highest quality meats from all over the world, you are guaranteed a delicious meal at The Butcher; as your steak sizzles on the grill, why not run through the extensive wine list to find the perfect accompaniment? The Sunset Bar and Grill offers relaxed bar snacks and grilled specialties.     NB Due to the resort's extraordinary hillside setting, some of the restaurants and bars are weather dependent and some are only open seasonally.

    The resort caters wonderfully for families with children of all ages. From the swimming pools and the beach, to the huge array of sports facilities there is enough to entertain from dawn to dusk and beyond. In the summer months, the hotel run the very popular Marco Polo Kid's Club (pre-booking required) for babies aged 9 months up to teens aged 19, with each age-group having their own dedicated club with tailored child-care and activities aplenty. The clubs run seasonally, with extended opening corresponding with summer school holidays and sessions vary depending on the age group, so please enquire and book on arrival. There are some evening activities available during peak season (additional fee payable locally).

    For sports enthusiasts or those who want to become one, the Sports Academy for children aged 7 to 15 years provides a great opportunity to take part in a training programme for their favourite sports - football, tennis, swimming, water polo and basketball. With limited groups, allowing maximum attention and supervision, children will have an opportunity to learn and play with experienced players and coaches who will provide them with knowledge, a sense of hard work and team play. The Sports Academy is available on a weekly basis from 28th May to 30th September, please ask for more details.

    There are dedicated and beautiful family residences available which have plenty of space for everyone. Separate living and dining areas and a fully equipped kitchenette keeps things simple and with a grocery store found on the hotel's promenade full of freshly baked patisseries, a fish market and a greengrocers, catering for yourselves is a pleasure. However, should you wish to leave them tucked up and enjoy an evening together, then babysitting can also be organised with the hotel if necessary.
