Choose between gorgeous lake views or a room overlooking the rose gardens and sweeping lawns. Located in the main lodge building, the Premium Lakefront Rooms are perched on the edge of the lake with full glass sliders opening to an intimate lake view. The Deluxe Lakeview Rooms offer stunning views from your own private terrace and include two king bedded rooms and one family style room with a small separate sleeping alcove. Finally, there are two Stylish Pool view Rooms, which open out to private outdoor terraces facing the pool and gardens and come with two king beds.

For those planning to venture out, Rotorua’s main tourist attractions are just a short drive away. If doing something active appeals, there are plenty of opportunities with everything from mountain biking, 4 wheel drive adventures, bush walks, golf and horse riding, to parasailing, kayaking and white water rafting. Thanks to the helipad at the Black Swan, you can also venture further afield and take a helicopter to explore the spectacular volcanoes and thermal parks famously located in this area, or you can be collected from the private jetty and taken on a fishing trip.

Rotorua has a fascinating Maori history, so if you are interested in soaking up some of the traditional and contemporary Maori culture, there are some great experiences on offer. The hotel will be very happy to help you plan your activities during your stay.

Breakfast at the Black Swan is taken overlooking the lake; a very pleasant way to start the day. There is a expansive buffet or delicious cooked options including eggs benedict and pancakes.

For fine dining, the hotel offers a great menu offering contemporary Pacific fusion food. You can dine by candlelight whilst admiring the spectacular lake vista or by the fireside. If you would prefer something a little more intimate, then private dining is available in the conservatory, grotto or gardens – a very special dining experience.

The Black Swan also has two exceptional sister restaurants, Bistro 1284 and the Regent of Rotorura. Each week, the hotel provides a complimentary transfer to them both on select evenings, to give you the opportunity to try a different but equally delicious cuisine. If you would prefer to eat in the privacy of your own suite, then room service is available from both of these restaurants.

family

Families are made to feel very welcome at the Black Swan. Kids will love swimming in the pool, playing on the sandy beach and exploring the beautiful grounds, and there are plenty of family adventures to be had in Rotorua and the surrounding areas.

The Lakeview rooms are very spacious and have two king beds so are ideal for families, and there is also one family style room with a separate sleeping alcove that is available. These rooms are conveniently located in the eastern wing with easy access to the courtyard, gardens and lake.

Highchairs and cots are available for younger guests, and a babysitter can also be arranged.

Located on the edge of Lake Rotorua, the Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel is just a five minute drive from Rotorua city centre where there are plenty of great tourist attractions, shops, restaurants and bars.

Rotorua International airport is just a 20 minute drive away and Auckland International airport is within a three hour drive. There is complimentary parking available at the hotel.
