The swimming pool is set amongst lily ponds and surrounded by frangipani trees, perfect for a refreshing dip. There are plenty of daily activities on offer: from yoga to Vietnamese cooking or lantern making lessons or enjoy a leisurely cycle on one of the complimentary bicycles - a wonderful way to see the area. The concierge can organise trips around the local sights or recommend a tailor for a bespoke designer outfit at a fraction of the cost. Enjoy a restorative massage in the beautiful spa before joining one of the sunset cruises, setting off from the dockside right beside the hotel.

Dining options abound here. Blissful breakfasts are served at ‘Lanterns’, overlooking the river with a huge buffet – the most difficult choice will be what to begin with! The funky ‘Art Space’ offers fresh all-day Vietnamese options on the terrace or enjoy the light bites by the pool. And it’s well worth heading to the bar for cocktails at Happy Hour – purely to enjoy the setting obviously….

It’s an excellent choice for a family and all ages are welcome. The location is perfect for easy explores in the town without tiring tiny legs and teens will love the variety of shopping, restaurants and bars on the doorstep. All rooms can interconnect and can be booked in advance or requested upon arrival. Each will sleep a family of four, while one extra bed can be added for a small additional cost. There are daily kid-friendly activities and babysitting on request – great for hopping on the sunset cruise in peace.

The resort is found in arguably one of the best spots in Hoian; set serenely on the banks of the picturesque river but just a short meander from the ancient streets of this magical town. It is also the best choice for a stay when the weather here isn’t ‘beach ready’ but only a 20-minute cycle or 10-minute journey by car when it is (January to August). Busy Danang airport is just 45 mins away, so it’s an easy add-on to any itinerary.
