rooms
There are only five rooms at Camellia Hills, each unique in design and layout yet equally comfortable and luxurious.
The cosiest are the two Camellia Bedrooms (Norton & Maskeliya) while the three roomier Lakeview Bedrooms (Dickoya, Osbourne & Warleigh) boast far-reaching views of the Castlereagh Valley through picture windows and private furnished garden terraces.
Norton, to the front of the bungalow, is a Castlereagh Lake-facing room with king-sized four-poster bed, sitting area and en-suite bathroom (shower only). Twin-bedded Maskeliya gazes south easterly across a lush hillside with a private garden-view terrace (shower only).
Dickoya is a big family-friendly bedroom bathed in light. It’s en-suite bathroom, with bathtub, connects it with a second single room with pull-out trundle bed, making it suitable for families of four. Osbourne is unique for its twin aspect mountainside and lake-facing views, and has a private decked terrace and big en-suite bathroom with rain shower and bathtub. Warleigh, on the lower ground floor, opens directly onto the lawn through three sets of French windows. It’s roomy and secluded, and a favourite with honeymooners.

Mountain Bikes are available for guests to use and the islands on the reservoir can be explored by boat, offering the perfect setting for a picnic lunch with a view! If you’re interested in learning more about lifestyle of the British planters in this part of the Hill Country, take a trip across the reservoir to the quaint Warleigh Church, a tiny church built in 1878 by British planters.
