This special resort is located in an idyllic tropical setting on Malaysia's Langkawi Island, cosily tucked away between a 10 million year old rainforest and scenic Datai Bay.  Nature abounds with monkeys and exotic birds making their homes just steps from your luxury room, and with a fantastic pool and beautiful beach, it's hard to feel the need to venture too far. However, we recommend exploring the Geopark, home to some fascinating animals and dramatic backdrop. In our view, a little piece of heaven on earth…

  • facilities & activities

The pool makes for a wonderful jungly retreat whilst the larger resort is an authentic activity paradise, with the opportunity to enjoy rainforest walks both at morning light and in the dark. Watch out for exotic birds, monkeys and flying squirrels and lemurs. Kayaking adventures are also popular or trek to the Crystal Creek where you can discover a jungle stream that cascades in to a natural pool, it's fine to jump in!

The terrible tsunami of 2004 caused devastating damage to the 8,000 year old fringing coral reef in front of The Andaman. In absorbing the tremendous energy and impact of the waves, the reef helped ensure that nobody was injured. In an effort to repay this debt to Mother Nature, the resort has created a Coral Nursery, where guests can participate in unique and inspiring activities.

The luxurious spa offers an extensive list of treatments which you can enjoy in open air villas which offer breathtaking views and if you are getting ready for a special night out, there is also a hair salon. The V Integrated Wellness Spa offers a collection of packages including detox, anti-aging, vitality and deep relaxation programmes.

We also highly recommend venturing further afield to the UNESCO Geopark for a cruise around the mangrove forests backed by near-vertical limestone hills dating back over 400 years. Spot the thriving wildlife including read eagles and animals adapted to this unique environment.

If you fancy picking up some clubs whilst away, The Els Golf Club Teluk Datai is located a mere 4 minutes away from the resort
